This architect-designed house is in a beautiful secluded grove of oak and locust trees on a 1+ acre lot, in front of a tidal salt marsh in South Wellfleet. At high tide it's possible to canoe or kayak right in front of the house.

The living room has large windows that offer panoramic views of the woods and marsh, and there are also views from the bedrooms. The style of the house is contemporary rustic, with wide-board Douglas fir floors, cedar walls, high ceilings, and wooden beams. Each bedroom is on a separate level of the house and has a different design. The second bedroom has a ladder leading to an additional sleeping loft/office space with a view of the bay.

The two main bedrooms are ideal for couples and the ground floor bedroom is a good space for an office or a visitor or child's bedroom. The middle bedroom also has an extra sleeping loft with a small office space. There is a futon couch in the living room and there is also a partially finished downstairs room which can be used as a rec room and/or extra sleeping space.

The house is off of a dirt road and on a cul-de-sac, and is private and quiet even in summer. A path in front of the house leads to the edge of the marsh and there is a bay beach within a half-mile walk. Ocean beaches (Lecount's Hollow and Marconi) and ponds are a short drive away.

The property is also a short drive from the Audubon wildlife sanctuary, restaurants, Wellfleet center, the South Wellfleet General Store, Willy's Gym, and the Wellfleet movie theater and flea market.
