This Conch Key home was built in the 1950's. It is on the Bayside of U.S. 1, the Overseas Highway, waterfront, has boat dockage, and is a 2 bedroom and 1 bathroom home.
The home was remodeled in 2005 using all wood products - cedar, Douglas fir, ironwood. In the kitchen, a solid 2 inch walnut counter top and hickory cabinets. The bathroom has cedar walls, and recycled Douglas fir counter top - the wood for this counter top was originally used as rafters in another Conch Key home that was torn down. The owner brought this wood back to life by sanding and cutting to fit as the bathroom's counter top - it is beautiful. The floors of this home are the original Dade County Pine, refurbished. The ceiling is cedar and the walls on the home are white-washed cedar. Ironwood trims the windows and door in the kitchen and living room. Douglas fir trims the bedrooms, bathrooms, and was used for the custom crown molding and the baseboard.
The home is all wood - a wonderful feeling for humans as wood is a natural product.
Look out the back windows, you'll have the view of the dock and the surrounding waters.
The front yard has a row of Pandanus Palms that hide the home from the street. Very private!
Office hours for phone communication, daily - 9 am - 6 pm. We check emails multiple times a day.

Let's face it -- most photos of rental homes paint a prettier picture than reality. Not so with this amazing cottage! In fact, we were thrilled when we walked in the door and saw how lovely the place is! Susie and Gerald have a Keys treasure, and we're so glad they're willing to share it! The cottage is immaculate and in a great location for diving, fishing, eating and relaxing. Susie was so great about accommodating last minute extra guests. Couldn't have been better! We'll definitely be back.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, people with disabilities, sightseeing, pet owners, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

We had a terrific time at this darling house on Conch Key. We decided at the last minute that we wanted to drive down the Keys from Miami, and the owners were very kind to let us rent the house with such short notice. The house was very clean, and the wood details in the interior were absolutely amazing. We loved the water access from the house; the dock was very well maintained.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children.
