  I LOVED THE PLACE! It's peaceful and the view is AMAZING! I stayed at a hotel few blocks from the house (St. Orres) and I will say that I will return to this house. It's so cozy, the natural lighting in the house was outstanding. My friends and I are planning on coming back here.... I recommend it to my coworker also. The house was clean and well maintained. SUPERB!

  We stayed at this property with another couple. The views from the living room are beautiful and as the bedrooms are downstairs, they stay cooler than if they were upstairs. We were not informed that there was another bathroom in the garage and could have used it, as both couples had to share the shower and bathroom. We were also not given the code for the lock in the backyard so that we could access the private beach. (We climbed over the fence). All being said, we would rent this property again but would request access to the extra bathroom that was mentioned in a previous review.

  Yes, the prior reviews are spot on. This is a wonderful place. We enjoyed our stay here. So close to town, yet far enough to be quite. Our 4yr old loved it and can't wait to go back. One thing to note on the private access. Be careful, if waves are breaking into the cove....go elsewhere.

  My son and my father went down first thing in the morning and got there abs. The. We went to the beach and relaxed. It is a great rental for relaxing/fishing

  Love this location! Close to town, but feels like you are all by yourself with your loved ones. There is plenty of room all around you! This house is set up right. Fire pit, fish/abalone cleaning station, extra shower/bath/kitchen in the garage. The hidden beach is great and if its foggy, just head over to the river and enjoy the sunshine. Only 10 minutes away. Many fond memories here.

  My family has rented this homes several times for getaways from the city. We love the location, the many comforts of the home, close to the cute town of Gualala. The home is very well maintained, quiet and we love the large yard to play games and barbecue outside. We are very close to our two favorite beaches and a short drive up the Gualala River for fishing and blackberry picking. Day trips to Mendocino and Fort Ross are easy. Our favorite resturant St. Orres is only 5 mins away

  Over the past few years my family has used this beautiful home as our family get away. It has great ocean access and great diving for abalone and fish. This is all private. Gualala to the south 1.5 miles is a short bike ride or medium walk. The town has everything from great shops and galleries, to an auto store and 2 grocery stores. There are state parks every 10 miles and they are filled with great opportunities for hiking, mt biking and a ton of history. We often spend any foggy days up in the red woods, bathing in the sun and collecting fresh black berries. There are 2 great beaches north of the property: 3/4 of a mile, is a beach we call pirates beach, great for surfing, boogie boarding, kite flying, diving or just getting away for some great sun. Beach #2 is about 2 miles north and is private and they charge to park there. This is Anchor Bay beach and it has bathrooms, showers, great diving, kayaking, and a mile or so of beautiful private beach. The State beach just south of Gualala, south of the property by 3 miles, is always empty and seems to have no end, at least I have never found one. This is a great beach to take a long days walk and collect shells and drift wood, your almost always alone and it is so beautiful, bring an picnic lunch. With in an hours drive of the home you have the funky little towns of Gurnnville, Point Arena, Elk, and Mendocino. Al have beautiful view, as the whole coast line, specialty restaurants, local gifts and a ton of artists that seem to have all evacuated Berkley in the 60s and 70s. Each town is a trip you wont forget. There are many places to stay in this region but as we have found over the years none compare with the comfort, price and location of this one. It sits on a large parcel with lots of very secure parking, even for RVs and trailers. You have complete privacy and there is a great camp fire area out side that the kids love to sit around every night and watch for falling stars. Free fire wood too. My recommendation for a stay there: If you live close by its perfect for a 3-4 day weekend, but if your driving in from out of state like we do, make it a week, there is just too much to see and do. I cant say enough about this great area and home, it is our dream get away every year and we have no plans of giving up this great holiday week, so find another. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
