    A friend and I signed up to take art classes from one of our favorite artists at her Gallery in Damriscotta Maine. We chose Comfort Found Literary Lodging because it was located right on the main street of the town, had great reviews and looked like such a cozy place to stay. Jeff was a great person to work with, very organized and thorough in his printed information and directions. We were definitely not disappointed when we arrived. This cozy apartment was just as it had been described. We both said that we could stay for a week and not be able to take in all of the wonderful selection of books that can be found everywhere. Beds were very comfy, kitchen and bath had more than enough of everything we needed during our stay, atmosphere in the living room was informal and relaxed. Everything was very clean and well kept. There is a wonderful restaurant across the street and lots of interesting and fun stores to browse through. When we are ready for another art lesson we will certainly be making reservations at Comfort Found Literary Lodging. Thanks Jeff for your great hospitality.

    Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

    A winter stay is unusual, but that didn't take away from the charm and coziness of this apartment. Very comfortable beds and marvelous books. Thanks so much.

    We fell in love with this garrett apt and its amenities. Pumpkinfets was a great deal of fun as well. As an extra perk at the Pumpkin Fest Parade we met Gladys (tenant downstairs)–a delightful woman for sure. Hope to do this again!

    Our stay here was a perfect beginning to our Maine vacation. Next stop Monhegan Island. We all agree that we would love to be here longer to enjoy the wonderful books.

    Jeff and Sharon, A delightful experience! It was as though we had slipped into the middle of one of the Maine books! We so enjoyed the apartment, the downtown, Savory Maine restaurant and , of course, all the literary adventures right here at 112 Main St. Thanks so much!

    We are so glad this lovely place was out last stop in Maine. We've stayed in a lobster fisherman's cottage, a log cabin, and then an apartment on Monhegan. This two-day stay here was truly "comfort found." We appreciated the soft beds, great books, reading lamps and the teapot. An added pleasure was the fact that Comfort Found is very reminiscent of my late grandparents' apartment in Lexington, VA...it was like having a visit with them.

    We stayed here for my daughter's wedding weekend. It was the perfect place for her to relax and get dressed and ready for the big event. Plenty of room and light; clean, well-equipped, attractive and comfortable. Lots of nice views for the photographer. Interesting selection of reading material, lots of books on cooking and food. Great location. Very nice and helpful owner. Stay there!

    Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

    We truly enjoyed our stay in your delightful Damariscotta loft. We took advantage of being “downtown” with all the sweet little shops and good eats, and we also got out and explored the surrounds and visited with family. This was the perfect base for us.

    We all love Maine. The people were friendly and the scenery was breathtaking. Pirate Day was so much fun. We enjoyed reading and cross stitching at the beginning and end of each day in your cozy apartment.

    The apartment was just delightful. Everything very nice. I wish we could have stayed longer. The wi-fi was much appreciated. The rooms smelled wonderful. So many great books, but not enough time. I was never cold. I just loved it

    October 2010 Pumpkin Festival Many thanks for providing us Comfort Found in this magical place. We loved every minute in this lovely apartment and exploring Damariscotta. We read and read and ate some more, watched pumpkins being decorated and enjoyed the library.
