We’re a secluded B&B less than 5 minutes from Lake Travis and Lake Austin, and only 25 minutes to DT Austin. We’re right off RR 620 just across from the historic Mansfield Dam Park and the most accessible boat ramp on Lake Travis.
You’ll enter The Hideaway through towering Tuscan walls and bamboo borders. Follow the flagstone path down to your secluded, charming cottage. Come on in, unpack your bags, and get comfortable! Turn on your favorite music and collapse onto the soft, memory-foam bed. Take in the quaint and crisp décor, including the genuine hardwood floors, shimmering walls, freshly tiled bath with unique antique wash basin, and the new & fully-furnished kitchenette complete with microwave, portable cooktop, refrigerator, and dishwasher and dishware.
You may want to explore the grounds. Trek up to the main courtyard and gaze at the towering tree canopies, colorful gardens, meditation trails, gurgling water features. Enjoy watching the birds and squirrels play. Or collapse into your hammock and melt away the stress. You may want to meander over to your own private patio and read a good book under the pergola. Or slip into a soft hot tub robe, make yourself a drink, and slide into your private outdoor hot tub for a relaxing soak under the stars.
Fire up the grill for an old-fashioned outdoor cook-out. Or, only minutes away, you’ll find dozens of restaurants from very casual lake-front cafes to some of Austin’s finest dining experiences. For entertainment, you'll find plentiful shopping, golfing, boating, fishing, kayaking, parasailing, zip-lining, and many more fun activities - all only minutes away from The Hideaway.
While you're away at dinner, we'll set up breakfast in your cottage. You'll awaken to eggs, pastries, fruits, coffees, teas, and juice.

We were glad to find a place that was pet friendly. Ann welcomed our two dogs with open arms. She would even give us updates when we left them in their crates while we ventured out. The Hideaway was like being at our own private resort with the patios and hot tub. It was very quiet and peaceful and Ann left us alone but we knew where to find her if we needed something. I would highly recommend the Hideaway for a relaxing get away.Recommended for: Pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

If you are the kind of person who nurtures everyone around you, and you do it gladly with all your heart, then you will completely fit with The Hideaway on Lake Travis. You will appreciate the level of care Ann offers at this sanctuary. Wake up to birds singing and the fountain gurgling. Make a full pot of delicious coffee and wait for it to brew while reclined in the hammock. At.dusk, the outdoor lights will charm the evening before lighting a fire and if you are as lucky as we were, you'll bask in the hot tub under a star-filled sky, away from the city lights. We thought we were under a magic spell when shooting stars glistened overhead. The morning news confirmed a meteor shower the night before. Fresh fruit and French pastries appear in your room. We took day trips to Hamilton pool and Barton springs, and it refueled us beyond words. if you believe in self care, stay at The Hideaway. You will want to write a time about its quiet peaceful energy.Recommended for: Sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway.

I stayed here while in Austin for SXSW. It was a very relaxing retreat from the hustle of the downtown conference crowds. Ann was so friendly and did a wonderful job making sure everything was comfortable. The daily breakfast of baked goods and fruit were delicious. I would definitely recommend this place if you want to get away from downtown Austin.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

We had a very relaxing experience at theThe Hideaway. It was brimming with charm and elegance, and it was a much needed break from the noise of the city. The decor was even more beautiful than the photos portray! I especially liked the antique sink in the bathroom. Upon arrival, everything was immaculate. It was great soaking in our private hot tub underneath the stars. My only regret is that I didn't spend enough time in the hammock. Ann even checked in on us to make sure everything was perfect. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to get away!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, age 55+.
