  We were an extended family of 18 that got together for a late Christmas celebration. The home was spotless upon our arrival, and it was clear that intense thought had gone into the design of the place. So many little things like in-floor heat, big windows, and ports wired to play music throughout the house made the cabin very comfortable. The beds were very nice and comfortable, the arcade games in the basement were a lot of fun, the hot tub was a great place of relaxation at night, the theater was well used and very fun to have, the kitchen is well appointed, with everything a person could need (and so is the bar downstairs). The owner, Amy, went out of her way to get the fireplace working when it wasn't venting properly, and we were so glad she did. That fireplace is massive, gorgeous and cozy, and we appreciated having it for most of our stay. Amy was very friendly and easy to work with. This cabin is beautiful, well designed, purpose built, spacious, inclusive of some tremendous amenities, and perfect for large-group gatherings. We will be back!

  We all were in awe at the first sight of this massive 10,000 sq.ft. "CABIN?" and its surroundings. We had 33 adults with a few children and babies and never felt for a minute that it was crowded. The bunk house was perfect for the little ones and their parents. The rest of us either shared space in the loft area or had private bedrooms. The entertainment area was on the lower level and included: A full bar area including video games, a Foosball Table, a full size pool table, and a commercial beverage cooler; an enormous theater room with a movie theater size screen and plenty of movies for people of all ages (easily seated 15-20 people); and a large hot tub outside. We rented their pontoon boat for the week. This is a must to tour Big Sandy Lake and some of the connecting lakes by water, also for anchoring off a sand bar on the lake for some fun in the water and sun. The fishing was great as well. The kitchen felt like a commercial kitchen. It was huge with double ovens, 5-burner stove with griddle, double fridge. Another beverage cooler was in the garage. It will seat 20-25 people. Over all we had an excellent stay and a lot of good times. We would give this place a Five Star rating and are anxiously awaiting next years vacation there. The Stanley Crew and Bob & Helen

  This property was even more incredible than the photos. We had all of the amenities that we could have wanted. This was really a perfect location for our group with a secluded, north woods feel. The lake access is lacking, but it is a good fishing dock. We will definitely try to return to this gorgeous location.

  The house was perfect! We had 28 people stay here for our family reunion, most of them traveling great distances to be there. It did not disappoint! There were plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained. The kids loved the bunk room. It worked out great having all of them sleep there. They also loved the arcade games and the theater room was a big hit! It was also big enough that anyone who needed to get away for some peace and quiet could do that too. The house is absolutely gorgeous! The pictures don't do it justice. We were a little let down that we couldn't spend any time in the water near the cabin due to the excessive rainfall that occurred in the area just before our stay. But the state park just minutes up the road was a nice alternative. Amy was very quick to respond to any questions I had before, during and after our stay. I would recommend this house to anyone looking for a nice vacation rental.

  Wonderful accomodations, great ammenities (didn't want for anything!!),easy to locate. Property Manager Amy was always available to answer any questions. The house was immaculate. There was little desire to go anywhere else due to all the games, the river, the hikes etc. This was our favorite reunion house. The add on the internet does not do it justice. Absolutley stunning!! Our family will definitely be back and I would highly recommend this house to anyone with a big family or crowd. WORTH THE MONEY!! Thanks Amy for making our reunion memorable. The Bublitz Family

  Many thanks Dion and Amy! Our family reunion at your beautiful log home was perfect in every way. We had 27 people who enjoyed every second of their visit. The arcade games provided entertainment for the kids, some adults were watching the Stanley Cup playoffs in the theater room and everyone else enjoyed reading, bonfires and just simply relaxing. I enjoyed watching the look on everyones face as they arrived, they were all definitely surprised. I can't tell you how many times I heard "This place is Awesome"! McGregor was easily accessible for any items needed. Boating up and down the river was so peaceful and of course the lake was a hit with everyone. The home was very clean, the beds were so comfortable and the large kitchen and dining area were perfect for all meals. It was one of the few times we could all fit in one area! When Sunday arrived and it was time to leave, everyone wished their visit was a little longer. We have a lifetime of memories to cherish forever and we can't thank you enough for all you do to accomodate your guests. I agree with my family, this place is Awesome!

  Words can not even began to describe this unbelievable cabin, every thing about it is over the top. Every single one of our guests were in total awe of the place. I will start with the kitchen, it of course is the most fabulous kitchen I have ever got to have the oppurtunity to cook in. We hosted a 50th Anniversary party and had a lot of food to prepare for approx. 60 guests, no worries, the kitchen is so fully stocked with anything you could possibly need. Our dinner party the first night was with immediate family, so we had 20 people for dinner, there were plenty of dishes and plenty of room at the table for all of us. It was a perfect night!!!! On Saturday we got up and were excited to get to spend time in the ktichen....yes the kitchen. We made an unbelievable brunch for all of our 60 guests without any worries. Plenty of room to prepare, cook, keep warm and serve. It was fabulous!!!! Throughout the day guests were coming and going. I must say that each and everyone of them could not believe how magnifcent this cabin is. The details in each and every room is wonderful. The huge living room was perfect for our guests to sit and visit as was the enormous deck that wraps around the whole cabin. We had a dance party on Saturday night, we played some old time music and loved watching my mother and father-in-law dance. It was a great time had by everyone. The sleeping arrangements are so easy too. Each room is beautiful so any room you get your a winner. The easiest decision was to put all the kids in the huge end room that has alot of beds, this way they all got to hangout with each other, they loved it!!!! The beds I must add are super comfortable too. This was by far by favorite place I have ever stayed!! I think that hosting the the party here made it that much more spectacular!! If you have a reunion, work or a family function in the future I would highly reccommend this beautiful cabin. Another important fact is that we had kids rangeing in ages from 8 to 17 and we did not hear from any of them that they were bored. The cabin has an amazing downstairs area that is equipped with so many things, pool table, foosball, darts and many arcade games not to mention the incredible theatre room, my kids love this room, it has 100's of movies to choose from too. Thank you to Dion and Amy for making the 50th party possible. We abosolutely love everything about your cabin!!!!!!

  My family has had the opportunity to use this fantastic get away for the past two years and we couldn't have found a more perfect location. This cabin has all the amenities of any vacation destination but all the privacy of home. Right on the river provides an opportunity for great fishing and easy access to Big Sandy Lake opens up a world of opportunity for water sports of all kinds! It is definitely a long weekend the entire family looks forward to each year.

  When we arrived to the most beautiful log home we have ever seen, it was immaculate, and breath-taking. The huge kitchen was a wonderful place for us to congregate during mealtime. We had fires in the fireplace in the evenings and enjoyed lots of laughs in the hot tub. The hot tub was also very clean! The kitchen was well equipped as we ate and prepared all of our meals here! I just want to say thanks for letting us enjoy your beautiful home. This is an experience not just a rental with all the personal touches that one would have in a home! The views were incredible. Watching the stars while in the hot tub was amazing. We did many fun things during our stay-- fishing the river along with catching the biggest sunny’s on Big Sandy Lake and wow what fun enjoying the festival that week it was a lot of fun. We caught our limit of fish and cooked them for dinner one night in the amazing kitchen. This kitchen is so amazing I never wanted to go back to my own kitchen. It was absolutely a wonderful week and we have already booked it for our next vacation! It was exactly as described. The kids had a great time in the game room playing foosball & pin ball and wow the theatre room was just like going to a movie and we even had a popcorn machine ready for us to enjoy with our movie! The whole family enjoyed the hot tub as well. The cabin is very large but, yet you always feel warm and cozy & relaxed. The grounds were clean and maintained very well. We roasted marshmallows at the fire pit!! There is plenty of sitting on the deck for enjoying nature too and so much privacy. The cabin was stocked with everything we needed and much more. I also have to say that the owners of the cabin made us feel very comfortable from the time we called to the time that we arrived to start our family vacation! Thanks and we will see you next year!
