  My two girls, 3 and 5, had such a fun time in this cabin. It was a perfect size for a family of 4 with two young kids. It was so clean and comfortable that it was hard to get them out into the snow! The bunkbeds worried me when I booked, but they were very secure and I slept well. Thanks for the trip!

  We headed up to Big Bear for our first Family (2 adults and 2 kids, ages 8 and 10) ski trip. It was perfect!!!! What an amazing cabin! Freshly remodeled and close to everything. 5 min. drive to grocery store and ski slopes. Don't forget to pick up wood because there is beautiful fireplace you will want to use. We had it burning at night and in the morning during breakfast. This will be a family tradition for years to come!!!

  When we first arrived at Whispering Squirrel, our kids ran through the place and celebrated that it had the best things ever: stairs and bunk beds. They were in heaven. We loved everything about WS. It was very clean, spacious, beautifully decorated, and they seemed to have all the items one may forget to bring (paper towels, shampoo, etc). The place is also, ideally situated near the village, sledding spots, and skiing. The only drawback was the driveway. If my husband weren't with us, I don't know if I could have gotten up the driveway without ruining either the drive way or my car. To get up it, you need to turn pretty sharply and the hill up is at a pretty steep angle. Overall though, we really loved the place and would love to stay again in the future.

  This was the perfect cabin for our annual family "Thanksgiving in Big Bear" trip. It was so clean and had everything you needed from enough towels and blankets to kitchen amenities. I cooked an entire Thanksgiving meal for my family and didn't miss a beat. The rooms are spacious and everyone had a place to sit or relax (2 adults, 2 teens and 1 child). You can really tell these owners take pride in this cabin. The only "wants" we wanted were access to a washer and dryer and maybe a hot tub...but not having those definately did not take away from our vacation. Can't wait to go back next year!

  The Whispering Squirrel is a great, well-located cabin. Exactly like the pictures, the cabin has been nicely updated, but still feels like a mountain retreat. Just a few minutes from Bear Mountain, downtown and Snow Summit. Main road is plowed in winter; driveway is a bit challenging, but fine after a couple of times up and down. Cabin is well stocked, very clean, excellent wifi, etc. Can't wait to go back, will definitely stay here again!

  Our expectations were exceeded this weekend when we stayed in the Whispering Squirrel. The rooms were spacious, the kitchen was modern, the couches were comfortable and overall our stay was awesome! We enjoyed our weekend in the snow and made lifetime memories. Thank you for everything!

  The Whispering Squirrel is great! Very clean with everything you could need (except maybe an extra mirror somewhere since there is only 1 bathroom :) It was myself, husband and 2 kids...and it was just the right fit. Lysa, the property manager, was very friendly and had plenty of wood waiting for us as requested! The mountain decor is very well done...not too over the top like some places. Great location! Hopefully next time we'll get some snow! Thank you!

  We just spent a weekend at whispering squirrel and really enjoyed ourselfs. We are a family of 4 and it was just right! Oh and it was soooo clean!!!!!! This is a detail that is extremely important to us. It is a beautiful cabin with all the comforts of home. I loved that everything in the kitchen matched and worked. It is not always that way in a rental cabin. It is a nice luxury for those of us that cook while there. The location is great. We would definately return to this cabin again.

  This is a perfect place to stay in Big Bear whether visiting for the winter activities or a cool summer getaway. Cozy, comfortable, and clean. Everything is provided, all you need to bring is food and clothing. Very nice.

  We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Whispering Squirrel Cabin in Big Bear. We literally booked this peaceful retreat at 7p the night before, as we were feverishly looking for a seriously last minute getaway and boy did we find it. Machelle and her property manager, Lisa were very friendly and helpful. Getting the paperwork out of the way quickly and easily. By 5pm the next night we were relaxing in the mountains! The cabin itself was small and quaint but could easily hold 6 people. Most importantly, it was clean and completely stocked with towels, kitchenwares, etc. We especially enjoyed cocktails using the outside seating. The only thing missing is a hot tub (hint, hint)!

  Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
