The Ko’olani Kai is located in Hale Koolau, a family owned & operated group of ocean and beach front vacation rental homes in Honolulu, Hawaii located in the fishing town of Hauula on Oahu's North Shore near the Polynesian Cultural Center, Turtle Bay, Kualoa Ranch, and many other wonderful Oahu attractions.

We are located approximately 45 minutes from Honolulu International Airport on the North East coast of Oahu; where the Ko’olau Mountains touch the Pacific Ocean. Our community of single family homes, small shops, and quaint restaurants is very different from the high rise retail/ tourist center of Waikiki. With hiking trails and unspoiled reefs, we offer a glimpse of the Oahu of yesteryear with convenient access to the night life and modern pleasures of Honolulu and Waikiki.
The Ko’olani Kai "Tranquil Sea" is a direct ocean and beachfront vacation home on the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii and offers breathtaking ocean and mountain views from every room. This is a spacious (1200 plus square foot living area) two bedroom, one bath home. The Ko’olani Kai features a complete, modern and open kitchen with maple cabinets and granite countertops, full size stainless steel stove/range, dishwasher, microwave, side by side fridge, and all the cooking utensils you need to prepare complete meals. The kitchen opens to the living area with a convenient breakfast bar/nook. The living area is richly decorated with warm tropical and plantation style furniture and enjoys wrap-around breath-taking ocean views.
There are two queen-size sleeper sofas in the living room in addition to a dining area with mahogany dinner table and seating for four. You’ll love the hand carved pineapple dining chairs. The master suite has wrap-around ocean and mountain views and is furnished with elegant and tropical teak furniture with a queen-size bed. The second bedroom also has a queen-size bed and heavy teak and tropical furniture for an elegant feel. All areas of the home have ceiling fans, however they are rarely necessary as this home enjoys wonderful tropical breezes year around.

Why the Owner Chose Hauula
Our family has owned and operated this business for two generations now. Originally our goal was to provide accommodations for people visiting family at BYU-Hawaii who wanted a more family-friendly atmosphere. We then realized the need for quality oceanfront vacation rentals at an affordable rate...this is our mission today, to provide quality, yet affordable, oceanfront vacation rentals on the North Shore of Oahu.
The Unique Benefits at this Beach House/Duplex
Guests who stay with us get more than just a place to sleep at night, they get their own beach house on the North Shore of Oahu. We have 450 linear feet of oceanfront property giving our guests plenty of room to lounge in the sun while being cooled down by the gentle breezes of the South Pacific Ocean. We also have four hot tubs on the property plus kayaks, boogie boards, snorkeling gear and complimentary high-speed internet. Each of our units come with full kitchens and 11 of them have air-conditioning. We are located four minutes from the Polynesian Cultural Center and Brigham Young University Hawaii. We are also located 20 minutes north of Kualoa Ranch and 15 minutes from Sunset Beach and the famous North Shore surfing beaches.
Within walking distance to Hale Ko’olau with a large grocery store and several restaurants, including the very popular Papa Ole’s Kitchen.
This is one of our favorite beach parks on O’ahu. Enjoy excellent sandy bottom swimming on this stunning and uncrowded beach.

We have operated as Hale Koolau LLC for nearly a decade, however prior to this change of entity we operated the business as sole proprietors, accommodating thousands of guests over the years. We are a member of the Better Business Bureau of Hawaii with an A+ rating, member of the Hawaii Chamber of Commerce, and have an "excellent" rating on TripAdvisor.
