  We had a group of around 12 of us and the home was very comfortable for this many people. Nice kitchen appliances and good location/distance from downtown Asheville. The ping pong table was a nice addition. Would recommend this place again.

  The house was wonderful. It is a beautiful mountain home nestled in the mountains and surrounded by beautiful views. Wake up seeing the mountain top from your bed. Lovely wood decor in home. Kitchen was very well equipped. Nice feature having a room downstairs for kids to hang out and ping pong table in garage. Very convenient access to good restaurants, grocery store and downtown Asheville attractions.

  We looked at plenty of houses to rent for our trip and found a gem at Winters Haven. This spot is located on a quiet street in the perfect natural setting for a get-away with pretty much everything you could possible need from a gourmet kitchen to a great fireplace with lots of space for our group which was 5 adults on a cycling trip. A short distance from the Charlotte Hgwy, it was close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and the major routes into Asheville.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers.

  We had a wonderful long weekend at Winter's Haven! We had 6 adults and 5 children in our party and still had room to spare. Our children loved the sleeping lofts! The house was very clean and is well stocked with towels and kitchen supplies. It feels remote, but is within a short drive to downtown Asheville and the Biltmore Estate. My only complaint was the requirement that guests run two loads of laundry before check-out. I understand asking guests to strip beds, bring towels and bedding to the laundry area and even to start a load of wash, but sitting around waiting to put in a second load was a little much in the midst of trying to take showers and pack up before the 10 am check-out time.

  Owner response: Quite obviously as you read the review, like all of our guests, this guest had a spectacular stay with us at Winters Haven. The only unfortunate part of this review is the fact that she was both mistaken about our checkout policies, and the expectations we have from our guests, and then posted the same rather than calling me directly. I am available all the time, every day, to insure that questions are answered, issues are addressed, and your stay is everything you imagined. We do NOT require our guests to do any laundry prior to checkout, and only politely ask that "if time permitting", they throw in some towels to wash, in order to simply give our cleaning crew a head-start. Again, there is NO requirement & NO expectation that guests do any laundry, just a friendly request to lend a hand if possible. If not, no worries. We are veteran VRBO travelers ourselves, & appreciate that guests often have flights to get catch, kids to get ready, packing, etc.... and all of this affects getting checked-out by the allotted time. It is also important to note that we very often afford late checkout, and early check-in for guests when that is possible. Our main goal is all about providing a spectacular vacation experience at any & all of our Yonder luxury mountain rentals, and we do everything we can to make that happen for every guest!

  I loved this house! We had a lot of people and we were all able to sleep well : ) And the house has a good layout for hanging out. It was perfect for our group!

  We had a wonderful time in this large home at a great location. Close to Asheville but out in the country. We rented 4 homes all in the same area and our family was able to visit and enjoy each others company without going anywhere. The house was quiet and comfortable. Large enough for 5 families.

  We went to this home for a family gathering for a wedding. It was perfect. We have young children and the house was large enough for quiet places for baby's napping as well as gathering places for the adults. We enjoyed the home and its location. We were 15 minutes from all the wedding venues, close enough to the interstate but far enough to be a quiet location.

  This is a great place to get away. Accomodations were great and close to everything. I would defintiely recommend this place top all my friends adn family. Thanks for a great stay!
