Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 1991
We purchased the property in 1991 instead of buying a new car. Best investment we ever made.
Why the Owner Chose Leavenworth
In 2007 we built the home on the 5 acres and lived there for several years. Our family has enjoyed the solitude and activities near and just a few miles away.
The Unique Benefits of this House
Bear Meadows is a very private, relaxing, and fun place to be. There are summer and winter activities at your door step. The best of both worlds located halfway between Leavenworth and Stevens Pass.

This place is awesome! It was perfect for our group of 6 adults, 1 child, and 2 dogs!! Everyone enjoyed themselves and we could have totally spent more time! The fire pit and hot tub were fun to use and the kitchen was so well stocked - we were able to easily cook big meals to save money instead of eating every meal in Leavenworth. All the beds were comfy and clean. We will be coming back and would recommend it to others!!

My family stayed at this cabin for four nights. We were most pleasantly surprised. It had all the right spaces for our family of 6 (17, 14 and 4 year old, plus little doggie). We all had a wonderful time. My husband and I enjoyed cutting fresh cross-country ski runs all over the property, the teens loved the hot tub with it's own light show, the little guy loved the sled hill and digital TV and our dog was mesmerized by the chipmunks. The amenities were great, bathrooms on both levels, one with shower, the other a jetted jacuzzi. The kitchen was better stocked than my own. The sleeping arrangements were great for us, main bedroom down and two big ones up, one with another TV, and the beds slept well. The owners were very nice and most accommodating. Highly recommended, just save some time for us to come back!!!

Bear Meadows was a wonderful place to unplug and spend a white Christmas. This home was perfect for Two families, each with 5yr old boys. Nestled in the woods well back from the highway we felt almost in another world. The sled hill is awesome (very fast) and the fire pit makes for great family s'more time. If youre looking to get off the grid without sacrificing amenities, look no further. Great owners, easy access to Leavenworth, we will definitely be back. Thanks so much for sharing this special place.

We stayed at Bear Meadows the first week of December so we could go to Leavenworth for the tree lighting ceremony. In the end I think we had as much fun at the cabin as we did in Leavenworth. The cabin has a very exclusive feel, perfect if you want to a relaxing getaway. It is on a large property so you can go for a nice morning walk. The first thing we noticed when we walked into the cabin was the beautiful Christmas decorations. We felt right at home. It was very clean and everything inside seemed modern and new. There was a nice flat screen TV and a library of great DVD choices. It was very roomy. We had 6 people and everyone had plenty of space. One of our favorite features was the amazing hot tub outside. The hot tub had a modern control panel where you could adjust everything: the jets, the light color, water temperature, etc. It was an incredible experience to sit in the hot water, surrounded by snow, and seeing the clear night sky above. There was snow on the ground while we were there, so we went sledding in the back. The sledding hill was a ton of fun. You can start at the top and go very fast, or start near the middle for a more tame ride. Finally Sally, the owner, was a great help and very friendly. I would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a relaxing and fun stay.
