This property does have a 'lock off', so it can be rented as a 1 bedroom/ 1 bath, 2 bedroom/ 2 bath, or 3 bedroom/3 bath. Please inquire regarding lock-out rates. The units have separate entry doors and yet have a connecting door. The main unit has an open living space with full kitchen, dining area, two bedrooms and living room with a queen sleeper sofa. The bedrooms offer a king bed in the master and a daybed with a trundle in the second bedroom. The lock-off portion has a queen bed with a kitchenette and a full bath.
This newly remodeled second floor condo is steps away from all the amenities of the Village of Baytowne Wharf - fourteen restaurants and bars, live music at the village amphitheater, picturesque marina, zip line, dozens of shops, and much, much more. My wife and I are early grandparents (48) and took our three grandchildren ages 7, 5 and 2 and had a wonderful time. After looking for a condo for over a month with no luck I came across this one, and it was perfect. The condo is much larger than I could have ever imagined from the pictures. It's almost like 2 condos, with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths plus an additional bedroom and full bath with a small refrigerator right down the hall. When you sit on the deck there's 2 round tables that hold 5 people each, it's double the deck size of others, plenty of room to eat and hang out. The condo was very clean and ready when we arrived. The agent, Kelly was fantastic to work with, very responsive to any questions we had. The Pilot House is on the Bayside of the Emerald Highway, not to be confused with the Gulf side. If you like to golf and shop it’s the place to be, right out your door. The kids will enjoy The Baytowne Wharf where they can enjoy rides and plenty of food options for all ages. The beach is a 3 minute ride across the street. Once we found the pool it was great, you have to take the elevator to the third floor to get to the outside pool. We look forward to taking our grandchildren back next year. Enjoy!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We enjoyed our stay at The Pilot House. The accomodations were nice and the proximity to shopping and restaurants was perfect. Our only issue was the parking garage. The Pilot House garage fills completely in the evening leaving nowhere to park. If you are looking for a nice pool and convenience to the Baytown Square, this condo is a great choice!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.

We reserved this unit through VRBO and the owner's agent. The response from the agent, Kelly, was the fastest of all the rentals we looked at. Also, this was the only rental that stated availability that was actually available when I made reservations although the other listings said they had availability! The pictures make the Living area look very small when actually the 7 of us, 4 adults and 3 teens, we're quite comfortable hanging out in the combined living and dining area. One set of adults took the lock-off bedroom with private bathroom, micro and fridge while their 2 girls took the queen sized pull out sofa. My husband and I shared the king bedded room with ensuite bathroom and our daughter had a small bedroom to herself. All three teens shared a third bathroom. In the evening we enjoyed sitting on the patio which had tables and chairs for eight. The pool on the level above us was beautiful with plenty of lounge chairs for everyone even during the busy Memorial weekend. The unit is located in the Baytown Wharf area and just a two minute walk from all the action, yet still quiet with the windows closed. We would definitely rent this unit again!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.
