I had the great pleasure to spend months at this home. From the first moment I walked in, I felt at home. The place was clean, decorated beautifully and the atmosphere was cozy and comfortable. Not only did the house have a great feeling but the entire community was warm and welcoming. The best part of this home is the back yard. I have spent hours watching wildlife and the trees in the back. You can get caught up in the natural beauty of Seeley Lake. I recommend hiking and exploring the area. The owners of the property were always available to help me along with the neighbors. I highly recommend this property.Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers.
Owner response: Thanks Kelli! We have loved your backyard and wildlife photos too! You've definitely made the most of being in such a pretty area and been a GREAT renter!

We stayed during the 4th of July week. We were able to enjoy a small town parade and fire works. During our stay, we went horse back riding, rented a boat, spent the day on Seeley Lake, hiked into Glacier Lake, and swam at Holland Lake. It is a great jumping off place for the whole area, as well as a place to stay and relax. The deer joined us each day. There are horseshoe pits and an excellent hike right out the back door. The guest book with information has contact information for area activities and restaurants in the area. The beds are comfortable. The house has everything needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. It was clean and well equipped. The owners were gracious and easy to work with. We had a marvelous stay and will return if it is still available for use on our next Montana vacation. It is the perfect get-away for those familiar with the area or those who have never visited the area.Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers.
Owner response: So glad you enjoyed your trip! Thank you for staying with us and I hope we see you next summer.

We stayed at this house in mid February. We were there with another couple and found it was roomy (3 couples could easily stay there) and pleasant. We loved the open front room with the cozy wood stove heat and the well-equipped kitchen for cooking. There are 2 bedrooms upstairs and a lovely library/sitting area too. The location was quiet and restful --we were able to snowshoe right out the back door into state forest land. The house is located conveniently close ( about 2 mi.) to town and to the Seeley Nordic ski trails, which were freshly groomed and in excellent shape. I think it would be a fun place for a family in the summer too. There is a picnic table and chairs and barbecue pit in the back, along with horseshoe pits for recreation. Also there are some nice hiking trails nearby through the forest land in back. I would definitely recommend this place to friends.Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers.

This last weekend we took my mother and father-in-law x-country skiing for her birthday in Seely Lake. We rented this nice cabin which had everything a person might need to stay an extended period of time (except food of course). This cabin easly slept four and there is plently of room to sleep 6. There is a wood stove and we spent each night snuggled around the fire talking and joking. We played games and had so much fun. There is baseboard heating that does kick on if the temperature gets too low which is nice at night or when we left the house. The area around the house is beatiful, and there is a fire pit in the back as well. The location was really nice because we were literally just minutes from the x-country ski trailhead and from "town". The x-country skiing was phenomenal! We had freshly groomed trails, and they do a great job maintaining the trail system. My mother-in-law is a beginner, so it was especially nice to have the trails marked as beginner or intermediate. Seely Lake is the perfect sized town with just enough conveniences without being too large. It felt like a getaway. We ate dinner at this place on the lake called The Moose River, and had amazing fish and chips (they use real halibut!). The owners of the cabin seemed very nice and were very easy to deal with. They answered all of my questions quickly. They made this really nice reference book to the house and area, so we were able to answer all of our questions that came up during our stay by looking in the book. I have been to Seely in the summer as well, and it is also just as amazing. The hiking, swimming, and boating are fabulous, and the views are breathtaking. I would highly recommend this place to stay in the winter or summer.Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers.
