Mission Beach is a unique California beach town. It’s a peninsula of high priced real estate surrounded by the Pacific Ocean on the west side and Mission Bay on the east. Two very different worlds. The Boardwalk and the beach on the Pacific Ocean is active, fun & busy. Body surf, board surf, boogie board, jump the waves, search for shells, build a sandcastle or just walk along the shore of the Pacific Ocean. Quiet & serene Mission Bay offers another world - sail, kayak, swim, picnic & play tennis. Ride bikes or skate on miles of oceanfront and bayfront sidewalks. Only 2 blocks apart but a world of difference. Your choice. Enjoy both!!
Our Mission Beach condo is a very cute one bedroom, one bath located on the ocean side of Redondo Court in North Mission Beach. Redondo Court is right in the middle of North Mission Beach – about halfway between Belmont Park’s historic roller coaster and the famous Crystal Pier - so it’s the perfect location in Mission Beach. The Boardwalk and the Pacific Ocean are an easy 1 minute walk from the building entrance. It’s a one minute walk to a small market and there are tons of restaurants, bars & local shops within a two block radius of the condo. Ralph’s Supermarket is five minutes by car. Costco is a 15 minute drive.
TOP OF THE BEACH CONDOS - Location! Location! Location!!
The 21 condos in this section of "Top o’ the Beach" are on the top three floors of a 5 story secure building (the first 2 levels are secure garage parking – more on that later). This condo faces south so it’s bright and sunny with views of beach house rooftops. It is not oceanfront and you cannot see the ocean from the balcony so that’s why the price is very affordable!! But don’t forget - you’re only a 1 minute walk to the ocean!! Location, Location, Location!! From the balcony, you can see the Sea World fireworks on holidays and every night in the summer!! Very fun.
INSIDE THE CONDO
The condo is about 550 sq. feet with NEW bright blue carpet!! It is exceptionally clean and designer decorated. Looks like a model home!!
THE LIVING AREA
In the living room, there’s a leather sofa sleeper and a dining table for four, CD player, iPod dock plus 32" LCD TV with cable and DVD player. Bring your favorite movies or watch a few classics that we keep at the condo for your use or rent them at several spots close by. Just in case you get tired of all that sunshine at the beach, there are books and plenty of games. Nationwide phone is FREE!
The condo has a big balcony which is almost 120 square feet!! There’s a gas BBQ, table, chairs and umbrella - perfect for enjoying early morning coffee and outdoor dining.
Please note: This is a non-smoking building. There is no smoking inside the condo or on the balcony.

THE BEDROOM & BATH
The bedroom has a super comfy queen bed with good quality linens, pillows and comforter. New plantation shutters are on the bedroom window to provide light and privacy. PARKING
The bottom two levels of "Top o’ the Beach" are reserved garage parking. That’s a VERY important benefit!! Parking is scarce at the beach and it’s nice to know you have your very own numbered, secure parking space!! An elevator operates between the garage and condo levels. Reserved parking is for ONE car. NOTE: Trucks, campers, RV’s, trailers or boats cannot be parked in the garage. Also, cars and SUV's over 6'8" high cannot be accommodated in the secure garage. We don’t recommend you bring more than one car because you could have trouble finding parking on the street.

- OTHER THINGS TO DO IN SAN DIEGO - BESIDES THE BEACH, Mission Beach is central to all the fun spots in San Diego!! 12 minutes to the San Diego International Airport, five minutes to Sea World, 20 minutes to Seaport Village, the Downtown Gas Lamp, Little Italy, Balboa Park and the famous San Diego Zoo, 40 minutes north is the Wild Animal Park and Legoland. Posh La Jolla with all those expensive shops and restaurants is just 15 minutes north and you might also enjoy the Scripps Aquarium while you are in La Jolla. In the summer, try your luck at the Del Mar Horse Racing Track that is just 20 minutes north - or indulge in a margarita in Old Town - just 10 minutes from Mission Beach. Take the red trolley to to our new baseball field downtown or to Tijuana, Mexico. PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION - If you want to leave your car parked, there is good bus service on Mission Blvd, that can get you all over San Diego and also connects to the red trolley.

The Unique Benefits at this Condo
This condo is in a perfect location in Mission Beach. It is right in the center of Mission Beach - on the ocean side of Mission Blvd. - and only 50 steps to the beach!! It is not oceanfront and that's why it is affordable. Oceanfront condos are twice as expensive and not everyone can afford that. This condo offers the perfect opportunity for a family or a couple or a group of friends to afford a beach vacation and only walk 50 steps to the sand. Guests can walk to a dozen restaurants and bars and shops. 2 beach bikes are included and that is a very fun way to get around the beach area. There are miles of flat beachfront sidewalks to enjoy. We also include beach chairs, beach towels, beach toys and a beach umbrella! Very cool!!
Only a 7 minute drive from the condo and a very fun day!! Best to go midweek when there are not so many people.
This is an easy walk or grab the bikes and head south to Belmont Park. I rode that roller coaster when it was 25 cents!! Yikes! That was a long time ago!! It's just as fun and just as popular now! G
Now this is FUN!! Plean an afternoon to watch the experts "ride" the waves. You can have lunch and a drink on the sand, too. Very fun!

I am a native San Diegan and was very lucky to grow up at the beach during the "Gidget" years. Since I love the beach, I traveled to Hawaii and was fortunate to purchase my first vacation rental in Maui 6 years ago. That was a dream come true! That vacation rental was so successful that I am now the proud owner of 5 more vacation rentals - 2 in Mission Beach, 1 in La Jolla and 2 in Phoenix/Scottsdale. I take great pride in personally managing my properties. I concentrate on making each one look like a model home so when a guest opens the door, they say "WOW! This is nice". The pictures on my listings are identical to how the condo looks inside. "No surprises" is my motto and it pays off with very satisfied guests and no complaints and lots of referrals!! Yeah!! I also like to include lots of extras so the guests don't have to run to the store to buy paper towels and coffee and salt & pepper. All included!Look in the shower and you'll see a dispenser with shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and lotion!! PLUS - 2 beach bikes, beach chairs, beach towels, boogie boards and beach toys! We stayed Nov 2008 for 4 nights. Great and Wonderful experience. When the details said "50 steps to the beach", its 50 steps to the beach. My 11 year old loved biking and I loved watching the sunset. Great places to eat is only a walk away. Grocery store is close by, to stock up the frig, there is even a card to use to get the discounts. Never wanted to leave. Hopefully we can come back.

The condo was in a super great location. Just a block from the beach and right on Mission Blvd. with so many spots to check. We didn't rent a car at all. Just rode around on the bikes and enjoyed!! The kitchen was perfect so you didn't have to go out every meal! i would definitely recommend this condo!!

The week we stayed at this condo was one of the best vacations we ever had. The location was great, just one house off the beach, and so close to everything, cafes, restaurants, etc. Everything is provided and it seemed so much like home. Jo Ann takes care of her guests. Thank You.

This condo is simply perfect! Perfect location, great price, everything you need for a great weekend on the beach. The owner has put together a very informative print out that made getting to the condo and using the amenities very easy. The condo is very safe and secure with a gated garage for parking. Everything is within walking distance and the beach is literally around the corner. You just can't beat the location and amenities for the price.

This review is long over due. We stayed in the condo from Dec. 19 – 23, 2010. Here are facts and decision is yours: 1. We arrived December 19th and did not find the second set of keys as promised. I called the owner and left a message but got no reply. 2. We called again December 20th and were told that she was not available that day to send us the second set of keys. We finally got the keys on day 3 of our 5 day trip. 3. The sofa bed in the living room is in terrible condition and there was no way two people could sleep there. 4. We run out of toilet paper on day four. We were lucky that we brought some tissue papers with us. 5. There was no hot water on the last day we stayed and the owner refused to refund us any money...
Owner response:This is the first negative review in all the years I have owned this condo. The week that these guests stayed in my condo was unfortunately rainy everyday - most unusual for San Diego. I know that inclement weather can definitely create bad feelings on a vacation. The guests never mentioned the sofabed and I have not had another guest complain about it. There was a water problem with the entire building one evening. The guests called me and I called the HOA Management company and they sent someone out there immediately to find the problem. It was resolved fully by the following morning. I talked to the guests and offered them a one night refund of $145 which they were delighted to accept. I processed that refund on December 23rd to their Paypal account. If they did not receive that Paypal payment, they should have let me know. I checked this morning and the payment for $145 was transferred to their account on the Dec. 23rd. They called and said they also wanted the tax refunded and I sent them a check $15.22.with my apologies. That check was cashed so the comment above that "the owner refused to refund us any money" is not the truth and absolutely incorrect.

One thing any potential renter should know... This condo has parking, not just a parking space somewhere in an alley, but parking in a gated garage! I see this as a major plus! Also the building itself is very secure, no one can enter without a key. Our family includes 2 kids under 6. Having a bedroom and a living room was fabulous. We'd put the kids to sleep and we could still stay up. Having the kitchen turned out to be such a positive! We made most of our breakfasts and lunches in the condo and ate out for dinner. (HUGE MONEY SAVINGS!) The condo itself is clean and has everything you may need. The building is quiet, I do not think we ever heard anyone! At night, you can see the fireworks from SeaWorld. The location of the condo is literally steps away from the ocean. If you have small kids and want to just go into the water without waves, you can walk 3 mins to the Mission Bay side... which we did a lot. By the way, great shell hunting on the Mission Bay side. There are plenty of restaurants to eat at and a Ralph's & CVS up the road Our family was very happy with everything. Jo Ann is a fabulous owner. She was very helpful during the whole process of rental. We will defiantly be back and ware even thinking of trying out the Maui condo!

The condo was quaint and cute. It met our needs for a family with 2 small children. JoAnn thought of everything. It is a very short walk to the beach and to several restaurants. It is very close to Sea World and the Zoo. About a 30 min drive to Legoland. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Just wanted to thank you for the wonderful time that we had at your Redondo Ct. location. The only complaint that I could find is that we did not have another week to enjoy. You had everything available that we needed and the location to the beach was a wonderful. Try the Gava Beach bar and restaurant around the corner, it's wonderful!
