Our daughter now lives here due to the fact that her husband is in the Navy, so this was our first trip to the area. The condo is very cute, clean and comfortable. We did not use the pull out couch since it was just the two of us. Just down the street is a place called Cafe Mono which I highly recommend if you love coffee - we went there everyday! The Mission was also great for breakfast. We walked every morning. We went to the Art Festival, the Midway, drove up to La Jolla and ate at lots of good restaurants! We will defintitely be back, but next time we will stay longer!!!! Thanks again.

The condo was in a super great location. Just a block from the beach and right on Mission Blvd. with so many spots to check. We didn't rent a car at all. Just rode around on the bikes and enjoyed!! The kitchen was perfect so you didn't have to go out every meal! i would definitely recommend this condo!!

Owner response:Everyone loves the bikes! Miles of flat waterfront sidewalks. Some guests have actually ridden the bikes to SeaWorld!!

Great Condo, Great Location

The week we stayed at this condo was one of the best vacations we ever had. The location was great, just one house off the beach, and so close to everything, cafes, restaurants, etc. Everything is provided and it seemed so much like home. Jo Ann takes care of her guests. Thank You.

Simply Perfect

This condo is simply perfect! Perfect location, great price, everything you need for a great weekend on the beach. The owner has put together a very informative print out that made getting to the condo and using the amenities very easy. The condo is very safe and secure with a gated garage for parking. Everything is within walking distance and the beach is literally around the corner. You just can't beat the location and amenities for the price.

we spent one week at Jo Ann's Bayside condo and one week here. we enjoyed both ,but this is our favorite. The location of both condos is perfect. The evaluator and secured parking at the Rodondo codo tips the scales for older travelers.Everything was as advertised. we enjoyed the beach cruisers. We will certainly come back again.

Very Disappointed

This review is long over due. We stayed in the condo from Dec. 19 – 23, 2010. Here are facts and decision is yours: 1. We arrived December 19th and did not find the second set of keys as promised. I called the owner and left a message but got no reply. 2. We called again December 20th and were told that she was not available that day to send us the second set of keys. We finally got the keys on day 3 of our 5 day trip. 3. The sofa bed in the living room is in terrible condition and there was no way two people could sleep there. 4. We run out of toilet paper on day four. We were lucky that we brought some tissue papers with us. 5. There was no hot water on the last day we stayed and the owner refused to refund us any money...

Owner response:This is the first negative review in all the years I have owned this condo. The week that these guests stayed in my condo was unfortunately rainy everyday - most unusual for San Diego. I know that inclement weather can definitely create bad feelings on a vacation. The guests never mentioned the sofabed and I have not had another guest complain about it. There was a water problem with the entire building one evening. The guests called me and I called the HOA Management company and they sent someone out there immediately to find the problem. It was resolved fully by the following morning. I talked to the guests and offered them a one night refund of $145 which they were delighted to accept. I processed that refund on December 23rd to their Paypal account. If they did not receive that Paypal payment, they should have let me know. I checked this morning and the payment for $145 was transferred to their account on the Dec. 23rd. They called and said they also wanted the tax refunded and I sent them a check $15.22.with my apologies. That check was cashed so the comment above that "the owner refused to refund us any money" is not the truth and absolutely incorrect.

One thing any potential renter should know... This condo has parking, not just a parking space somewhere in an alley, but parking in a gated garage! I see this as a major plus! Also the building itself is very secure, no one can enter without a key. Our family includes 2 kids under 6. Having a bedroom and a living room was fabulous. We'd put the kids to sleep and we could still stay up. Having the kitchen turned out to be such a positive! We made most of our breakfasts and lunches in the condo and ate out for dinner. (HUGE MONEY SAVINGS!) The condo itself is clean and has everything you may need. The building is quiet, I do not think we ever heard anyone! At night, you can see the fireworks from SeaWorld. The location of the condo is literally steps away from the ocean. If you have small kids and want to just go into the water without waves, you can walk 3 mins to the Mission Bay side... which we did a lot. By the way, great shell hunting on the Mission Bay side. There are plenty of restaurants to eat at and a Ralph's & CVS up the road Our family was very happy with everything. Jo Ann is a fabulous owner. She was very helpful during the whole process of rental. We will defiantly be back and ware even thinking of trying out the Maui condo!

Great Time in San Diego

The condo was quaint and cute. It met our needs for a family with 2 small children. JoAnn thought of everything. It is a very short walk to the beach and to several restaurants. It is very close to Sea World and the Zoo. About a 30 min drive to Legoland. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Just wanted to thank you for the wonderful time that we had at your Redondo Ct. location. The only complaint that I could find is that we did not have another week to enjoy. You had everything available that we needed and the location to the beach was a wonderful. Try the Gava Beach bar and restaurant around the corner, it's wonderful! We stayed Nov 2008 for 4 nights. Great and Wonderful experience. When the details said "50 steps to the beach", its 50 steps to the beach. My 11 year old loved biking and I loved watching the sunset. Great places to eat is only a walk away. Grocery store is close by, to stock up the frig, there is even a card to use to get the discounts. Never wanted to leave. Hopefully we can come back.

This was a wonderful location at a great price with all the amenities. We loved having the bikes to go out and around in Mission Beach and La Jolla. In addition, Jo Ann was extremely helpful with directions, instructions as well as return of misplaced items. Highly recommended!

Hi, the condo is very convenient to all the beach breaks on Mission Beach if you are a surfer. Very clean and comes with parking. Rare Gem!

Jo Ann's property was fabulous. I spent a week in San Diego in April & thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Jo Ann has generously furnished the condo to ensure visitors feel like they are at home. It's is in an ideal location for relaxing - only 50 steps to the beach & 100 or so to the bay. I really enjoyed having the bikes available - starting each day with a ride along the beach or the bay was wonderful. The location is great for people travelling with a car - only 10 minutes into town or north to La Jolla, & around 30-40 minute drive in any direction will allow you to cover most of the scenic & tourist destinations within the city. Buses also run right outside the condo. Thanks Jo Ann, I had a great time & I will definitely be back!
