We had a great time staying at this property when we came to San Francisco for our nephew's wedding. There was room for my husband, myself, my sister-in-law and our 2 adult sons, plus we cooked and entertained the wedding party a couple of nights. The location was tremendous and we strolled down to Alamo Square and shopped at the Farmer's Market on Sunday morning. The flat is in a Victorian and is a classic...kind of funky and lots of fun!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

The flat is delightful, very full of personality! And the pipes have their own personality: they were singing whenever the toilet flushed or shower ran.....my only concern was arriving late at night, and someone had put the chain on the garden door, but fortunately the owner told me about going in the other way, and it worked. Definitely go to Little Start Pizza if you're there!Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in San Fransisco. Marilyn was great to work with. It was so nice at the end of a day of sightseeing, theatre, and great food to return to our cozy and classy flat on Alamo Square. Nicely furnished, comfortable beds AND great TV for watching the Olympics! Good location. Easy parking. On the bus line. Highly recommend it!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

My family had the best time in San Fransisco this summer! We loved staying just outside of the city and being able to catch the MUNI just around the corning. We also loved staying just down the street from Alamo Park and were able to walk there around 9:15pm on the 4th of July to see the amazing fireworks down at the wharf. The best part was we didn't have to deal with the crowds. We will definately recommend the Stafford House (and Homeaway.com) to our friends.Did you find this review helpful? My friend and I spent 3 nights at this very attractive and spacious apartment in June of this year. The flat met all of our expectations and was perfect for our holiday. The location was excellent with the muni so close by and both our contact Marilyn and the owners were gracious and available to us before our arrival and during our stay. We used the kitchen and the beautiful eating area in the living room, opening the windows and enjoying the great weather. The small outside garden area was also delightful - I read and relaxed there and was pleased to have the outdoor space with such ideal weather. I would stay again in a heartbeat - it was all one could want for convenience and charm. Thanks for sharing Stafford House!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

This was a great place to stay with my family while we explored the city. Everything was clean and exactly as described. The kitchen appliances were all brand new, the linens and towels were beautiful, the high ceilings and wood floors wonderful. Both my 20 year old son and 23 year old daughter want to move into the apartment forever. The only down fall was the parking. We really had to circle many times to find a spot every evening. It wasn't a problem walking once we found a spot, everybody was walking and it felt very safe. I would definitely recommend this property.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

We were the second tenants of this place. It's newly on the market for vacation rental. We had a great time and we were thrilled with this apartment. It's very cute and I just loved it. It was clean, spacious and very well located. We spent the holidays at the apartment and the living room was a great hang out space. The owner and manager are very easy and pleasant to deal with. I enjoyed the Alamo Square right across the street and great restaurants that are walking distance. Transportation was great as well and we didn't have a hard time finding parking on the street. I would recommend this place to family and friends and would be happy to stay there again in the future.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.
