  My family and I enjoyed the week of Thanksgiving in this amazing home. The views of the ocean from the deck(s) was simply amazing. We enjoyed watching dolphins, and the beautiful sunsets from the top deck, located conveniently off the living room/kitchen area on the 3rd floor. From the ground floor, you could be on sandy shores in a matter of steps. The home itself is lovely. I was especially fond of the 3rd floor with its open floor plan, beautiful views, and comfy furniture. The sleeping arrangements were all comfortable, and spacious. Our 3 and 7 year old loved everything about this house! The elevator provided a huge service in getting bags, groceries, and especially people from floor to floor with ease. The home has obviously been enjoyed by renters, and it not perfect- but we never expected it to be. It IS just as pictured in the online pictures, and I found the decor to be fitting with the beach setting. Matt with At Waves Edge could not have been more helpful, and even checked in with us during the Thanksgiving holiday. Our stay was fabulous, and we would definitely rent Sea-ducer again in the future. I highly recommend this home to anyone considering a stay in the area. It has everything you need to be a home away from home!

  We really enjoyed our stay here! This was our favorite house ever in the Outer Banks and we have been coming here for 22 years. It is spacious, bright, clean (We loved the furniture!), a gorgeous view, and very serene. The beach is not crowded and the traffic is very light. Thank you so much!

  filthy dirty. decor from horror movie.dirty dusty ugly dried flowers all over. drawers a mess. poorly equiped kitchen. no working elec can opener. poor linen quality. we washed it just to be sure. blinds and window sills so dirty we had to wash our hands. light bulbs out. poor lighting in liv rm. towels with black marks and very poor quality. COLOSTOMY BAGS ON SHELF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Beautiful view only redeeming value of this rental. awkward direct beach access thru bedrooms. not a welcoming home. I have rented 1 mo/yr 24yrs this WAS WORST RENTAL EVER! would not recommend to anyone without preparing them. only master br has tv(toosmall for room)liv rm tv too small and a dinasaur.

  Owner response: Winifred, I am sorry your experience was not as you expected however you saw the pictures, along with a video tour, online and if you did not like the decor that is tropical you should have chosen a different home for your vacation. Odd that you are the only one who has written a negative review on this home. I assume because when you stated "You should consider giving me money back before I write my review" that this was a malicious statement and all of your comments are grossly exaggerated. Every year we have many happy return renters!

  Our rental experience was great! The house is wonderful and a great location. It was just like a home away from home. Matt was great as well and super easy to work with. If you have any problem, he will take care of it right away. We stayed for 3 weeks and hope to stay there again next year. I would recommend it to anyone. It was great for our family with little kids and even great for our older parents because it has an elevator so don't have to do the steps. Elevator also makes it super easy to get your bags upstairs. Loved it.

  Everything was great! We had an issue with the washing machine, but the realtor came in and took care of it right away. We loved it there! Would definately rent it again in the future!

  The house and location could not have been more perfect! Kids loved the "Bonus/Playroom"- The elevator was nothing short of a blessing! The views are something that need to be seen to appreciate! The rooms and layout of this house gave everyone their space- fit our family perfect. Hope we are able to rent it again! Matt was available and responded to every question/email in a timely fashion. We look forward to working with him again!!!!

  Our vacation was perfect (May 26-June 2nd 2012) and the main reason is how great this house was. First off, Matt is easy to work with and he made the whole process extremely easy. There is plenty of parking and there was even room for us to pull our cars in the garage, unload them, put our stuff on the elevator and quickly get it to our rooms. There were more than enough. Beds, pillows, blankets, sheets and rooms to sleep in (also, every room has a huge walk in closet that an be used as additional sleeping space). The master bed and bath is huge and nicely appointed. The kitchen and living room have tons of windows looking at the beach and tons of space and top level furniture/decor. The two decks on the back of the house are huge and partly covered. There is an outdoor shower w/ hot and cold water. The beach behind the house was very close and on most days it hardly has anyone on it. We basically had our own beach for most of our stay. You can't go wrong with Matt or the Seaducer.....we look forward to returning!

  This is a top notch property. Matt at Wavesedge is wonderful and super easy to work with! Great views from the main living area and master bedroom. Short walk to beach. The house has nice furnishings and is very roomy. We went with another family - we had a total of 4 adults and 4 kids - everyone had their own space The kitchen is upgraded with granite and nice appliances. The only two cons are - more kitchen "stuff" is needed (low on glasses, some of the cookware) and access from the top deck to the lower level is not easy (no direct access to the beach). But these are minor and we certainly plan on returning. Great property - go and visit and enjoy!! We are planning a return trip!
