Enjoy your skiing vacation with family and friends by renting our spacious condo (4 bedrooms/3 bathrooms) at Lakeside Village in Keystone. All four bedrooms have a king or queen bed. Two of the bedrooms have two additional single beds. Hence the unit accommodates up to 12 individuals with no one sleeping in the living area – all 12 in beds…no lumpy sleeper sofas. This means that early and late risers do not impact each others schedules. The living area is spacious with leather furniture, wood burning fireplace and a window wall facing the slopes at Mountain House ski lifts. There is a washer-dryer in the unit for your convenience. The kitchen is well appointed so it is easy to cook meals in the unit.
It is about 150 yards from the front door to the enclosed shuttle bus stop and another 200 yards to the indoor pool, hot tub and sauna. The location and accommodations of 1789 Decatur are excellent for three or four families to have both companionship and privacy. We hope you enjoy the unit as much as our families do.
Lakeside Village is one of the nicest places to stay year-round. During the summer months, the Lakeside Village is home to the Taste of Keystone food festival, 4th of July fireworks and more. The lake is open to paddle boats, canoeing and more fun activities for the whole family. Surrounded by shops and restaurants, the lake is a big draw for everyone. The Snake River runs adjacent to the lake as does the bike/walking trail that leads throughout Keystone and eventually around Lake Dillon and Breckenridge and Vail. Fireworks are shot over Keystone Lake every Saturday during the summer months. During the winter months, Keystone Lake freezes over and becomes the worlds largest zamboni maintained skating rink in the world. A full 5 acres of frozen lake turns into one of the best places to play with the whole family with hockey rinks built in and skate rentals close by.

Year Purchased: 2011
Dean and Martha are retired and currently spend our time in Texas and Iowa. Martha owned a business, worked for state and local governments and finished as an administrator at Iowa State University. She retired in 2006. Dean has held only one job. He was a professor of statistics at Iowa State University for 41 years and retired in 2009. We thoroughly enjoy our retirement and our condos in Iowa and Texas. We spend as much time as possible with our four children and eight grandchildren. We purchased this property with Daughter Jill and son-in-law Mark Bradley. They and their two children love to ski. Jill is a full time Volunteer/ mom and a retired CPA and Mark is a physician and also community volunteer including being an elected member of the kids school board.
Why the Owner Chose Keystone Village, Decatur
When a son moved his family to Boulder, we decided it would be nice to own a condo in Colorado. As we viewed properties and considered locations, a daughter decided her family would like to join this venture since her family loved to ski. This changed our plans so instead of purchasing a small unit for two of us to use in the summer, we decided to purchase a large unit to accommodate multiple families for either the ski season when our children and their friends and families will use it or the summer when we plan to use it. In order to accommodate our large family and many friends we found a unit that will sleep 12 in beds and not use the living space for sleeping. This allows for the many differing schedules of early risers and those who stay up late into the night. We found that the Lakeside Village was the perfect location for our many varied interests and offers both summer and winter activities. We found that Lakeside Village is one of the nicest places to stay year-round. The Unique Benefits of this Condo
This condo is large enough for several families. They may enjoy the camaraderie in the living area but have quiet privacy in the bedrooms. It has great mountain views. The Snake River flows by the complex so it is a short walk to enjoyable fishing. The bike path in front of the condo goes around Dillon Lake and on to Breckenridge and Vail so both walking and biking are convenient from the unit. The pool is large and 10 feet deep at one end so it is perfect for swimming laps or playing games with the grandchildren. After a day of exercise the living room is very comfortable with 5 leather recliners. It is rather common to have several adults napping in the early evenings. Simply put our condo offers the perfect base to enjoy all that the Decatur Complex and Lakeside Village offers including: AMAZING VIEW - a direct view of the slopes at the Mountain House base area. WALK TO KEYSTONE LAKE - Only 200 yards to the edge of Keystone Lake, you can enjoy paddleboats and kayaks in the summer and all the ice skating you want on the largest outdoor Zamboni maintained rink in North America.....a full 5 acres! BIKE/WALKING PATH - Right next to Decatur. Head up the valley into River Run Village or down the valley following the Snake River eventually to Lake Dillon, Frisco, and Breckenridge. You have to go uphill on the way back though.... Shops & Restaurants - Only a 1 minute walk to the shops and restaurants surrounding Keystone Lake. SKIING - Ski storage is right on the ground floor. Get dressed, Get your gear, and hop on the shuttle right out front. You'll only have to walk about 100 yards total in ski boots to go skiing! Minutes to the lifts – like maybe 5! POOL & HOT TUB & SAUNA - Located only 150yds is a clubhouse on the shore of Keystone Lake which features a large indoor heated pool and a hot tub. A grilling area on the deck and nearby play area is available as well. Towels are supplied at the clubhouse, so you don't have to dirty your room towels

The condo fit my family and another family perfect! The beds were very comfortable and it easily slept all 11 of us. The condo had everything we needed and it was very clean and well kept. The view was spectacular and the bus made it easy to get to the slopes. We enjoyed the walking trails and the swimming pool. I liked how you could walk over to the shops by the lake and get pizza or eat at a restaurant. This is a great place for a family vacation!
