Riverview Chalet, dog friendly and riverfront, your own private Mt Hood Chalet. With space and solitude to spare, it’s wonderfully convenient to Mt Hood, shops and restaurants. Beautifully decorated, this charming chalet will feel like your home-away-from-home. Enjoy nature through the floor to ceiling windows or from the large deck, which overlooks the Sandy River.
At the Riverview Chalet , find your perfect sleep in the first floor master with a beautiful Queen bed or the 2nd Floor, very large Queen bedroom. There is a separate bedroom with a twin bunk as well as a Queen futon in the TV loft.
There is a wood-burning stove in the living room, a wonderful kitchen, equipped with top-of-the-line stainless steel appliances and granite counters with a gas BBQ outside the kitchen door.
Relax in the hot tub privately nestled in the trees. Riverside there is a horseshoe pit, picnic table and log loveseat. The deck has a chiminea, log table and chairs. There is also a fire pit riverfront. The Riverview Chalet has WiFi, cable, lots of movies and a washer and dryer and a ping pong table and foose ball table for the kids in everyone.
Your well-behaved dog is welcome at the Riverview Chalet but please, not on the furniture. Whether you have come for a weekend or a week, the Riverview Chalet will feel like your own private retreat, even when it is minutes to everything you need.

A simple thank-you does not do justice for expressing our gratitude for letting my family and I stay at your mountain home. Upon arriving, both of my children were beaming with joy and excitement, and as a mother, what else could I ask for. We loved the house, the hot tub and all of the adventures and memories made as we tried to fish the river, steps from your door. It is quite possibly, the best spring vacation we have had in a very long time. Thank you and we are looking forward to seeing what adventures we can find in the summer. What a terrific cabin in a most beautiful setting. We had a great time - loved the hot tub and chimnea on the deck. The rushing river drowned out any noise from the road. I could wake up every day to the view through the pines to the river. So peaceful and private. Thanks for sharing. We loved it.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway.

WOW! To thank you for sharing this home with us – just doesn’t seem like enough. Never have we felt so welcome as we did at the River front Chalet. From the lamps being on to the soft music . . . Amazing. Then to see and experience the rest . . . fantastically comfortable bed, beautiful deck, perfect hot tub in the trees . . . and the river. This cabin suited us perfectly. We loved having the grill, the ping pong table and the fire stove. We love the location along the river, the privacy and the proximity to excellent hiking. Perhaps the highlight of our stay (other than being all together) was seeing dozens of salmon spawn along the Salmon River. What a powerful thing to witness! Thank you for sharing this place with us and our daughter’s dogs. They especially loved it and are sad watching us pack up. They know that means we’re headed back to the city. We arrived really late but when we arrived it was so cozy. There were lights on and music playing. It was Lovely! We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and loved tat the house was dog friendly! We had such a great time visiting Portland and the Columbia Gorge for hikes. The house was very cozy. Really enjoyed the well-appointed kitchen. Things we highly recommend: the free Portlandia Walking tour. The guide is so entertaining and knowledgeable. Also the food carts in the city and of course, VooDoo Donuts. Great Hikes include the one up Multnomah Falls and the best was Tanner Falls Trail. Also enjoyed a visit to the Timberline Lodge. We had a great time playing games here too! What a charming place to relax and enjoy! The setting is amazing. We loved the constant roar of the river; a nice change from the urban sounds we’re subjected to! What a great cabin – you really have a little piece of heaven here. Everything we needed was available – we hiked, fished, cooked and relaxed. The BBQ was great as was the outdoor fireplace on the upper deck – excellent wienie roasts. We hope to be back and will definitely recommend this wonderful cabin to others. The setting was idyllic and beautiful. It was like home away from home (except for the setting). During our 10 days we thoroughly explored Mt Hood National Forest. We recommend The Paradise Park Loop Walk from Timberline Lodge for the adventurous (mid-July to mid-August for wildflowers.) ZigZag Inn – great beer and Pizza. Rendezvous Inn – perfect special meal.
