Hacienda Burke is a private resort style home, situated on one and a half acres of lush land in the tranquil community of Fallbrook, California. The setting of the house is secluded and serene, a quiet refuge from the city, free of distractions. Approximately 3800 sq. ft., this professionally landscaped property offers stunning views of the canyon it overlooks. Natural light fills this spacious home and warm, rustic furnishings make it the perfect retreat.
Fallbrook, and San Diego county are home to some of the most desirable golf courses in the country. One in particular, Pala Mesa Golf Resort is one of those courses and it is about a fifteen minute drive from our front door. The hottest days of summer sometimes makes golf unrealistic. Pala Mesa Golf Resort is the exception. Ocean breezes are the norm resulting in temperatures well below any of the courses to the east. If golf is on your agenda, this is a course you don't want to miss. We have arranged a significant discount on a round of golf with a cart and free range balls for all of our guests.They have also agreed to a 25% discount for dining at the Aquaterra Restaurant. The residence features 4 bedrooms, each with private en suite bathrooms, each with a shower/bathtub. Bedroom 1, the Master suite, has a gorgeous view of the canyon, a private bathroom with his/hers sinks, shower and a private 4 person jacuzzi tub. Bedrooms 2 & 3 have full size beds and also have their own private bathrooms with shower/bathtub. Bedroom 4, the largest room, has a queen size bed, as well as a sleeper sofa with queen size pullout, private patio and access to a front yard with a waterfall koi pond.
The gourmet kitchen is equipped with a professional Viking range, granite countertops, french door stainless steel fridge, dishwasher, Saeco espresso maker, stainless steel microwave and antique butcher block. Attached bar area with seating for 3 and ample counter space throughout. Adjoining dining area with seating for 6 that opens up to family room with sofa seating area, gas/wood burning fireplace and dry bar.
The main living room has a 52' HD television, DVD player, VHS player, ample seating on two large down-filled sofas (sleeper with queen size pullout), gas/wood burning fireplace, floor to ceiling windows facing a gorgeous view of the canyon, french doors leading to front and back yard, and adjoins the main dining area with seating for 10.
Outdoors you'll find a palapa covered bar with seating for 4, built-in outdoor gas barbeque and under-the-counter refrigerator, cushioned lounge chairs, patio tables with seating for 12, remote controlled salt water infinity pool(see below) with grotto and attached jacuzzi that overlook the breathtaking landscape of the canyon. A large deck runs the length of the property. Lower level of the property has vegetable and rose gardens, with adjacent fruit trees. Professionally landscaped front yard with lush, green lawn with a waterfall koi pond.
The town of Fallbrook is a short 5 minute drive if you need to pick up groceries, grab a bite to eat for lunch or to take a nice walk through this rustic town. Approximately 12 miles from the ocean - less than a 30 minute drive. San Diego Zoo & Wildlife Park, Del Mar Race Track, Pechanga Casino, multiple golf courses and shopping destinations are all within driving distance.
Wireless internet access and Satellite television (HBO) are included. Ample parking in driveway for multiple cars and/or RV parking. Entire property is fenced in and pets are always welcome.
The pool is heated by solar panels which are very adequate during the summer months. Heating the pool (33,000 gal.) with propane would take two days and empty the 250 gal propane tank resulting in no propane for the spa. If the pool being heated is a necessary part of your visit, contact the owner prior to booking.

We spent the last week at the wonderful villa in Fallbrook for our family reunion. Our party included 7 adults and 5 kids and there was PLENTY of room for everyone. The pool was a huge hit with young and old and the spacious interior gave everyone the opportunity to spread out and do their thing without interfering with other people's activities. The kitchen is super well equipped (we've rented houses all around the world and this is probably one of the best equipped kitchens I've ever seen - top-notch appliances and all) and the huge dining table readily accommodated the entire family of 12. The facility manager Eric was also very responsive, when we had a small issue with one of the sleeping sofas, he came out and fixed it right away. While there isn't too much happening in Fallbrook itself (though grocery stores and other amenities are available), the beaches are fairly close by (approx. 30 min) and even hitting the theme parks is very easy from Fallbrook (e.g. ~1 hr to Sea World). In summary: Everyone - big and small - was super-happy with the house and we had a great family reunion. We would definitely recommend this place!Did you find this review helpful? Recently, we stayed at this home for our family reunion/vacation and had an excellent experience. From our first communication, the owner was very helpful, accommodating and responded to inquiries quickly. Our group had 7 adults and 6 kids (ages 3-18) and we spent many hours enjoying the pool, golf practice area, chasing lizards, making fresh lemonade/orangeade with the fruit from the yard's citrus trees and bbqing. The large dining room table accommodated all of us easily and we really enjoyed cooking together in the well-appointed kitchen. The location was perfect (we went to Legoland, Disneyland, Seaworld and the beach during our visit) and there was plenty of parking in the private, gated driveway. I definitely recommend this home for larger groups (or groups needing multiple, private bedrooms - each of the 4 bedrooms has it's own bathroom.) The house played a big part in creating a very memorable vacation for all of us. Thank you!Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

My son was getting married at Los Willows Resort in Fallbrook and my family of nine from the Midwest rented this house for for our trip. We could not have been happier with this home. Our three grandchildren had a great time in the pool, while everyone else relaxed and cooked on the grill. The location is very quiet and a great place to wake up, grab the daily delivered LA Times, sit on the deck and watch the sun come up. Very close to many attractions. Being able to stay at this property was an big factor to making our trip to Southern California a memorable vacation. Highly recommended.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

I traveled with a team and stayed at this house for a week during late March. This house exceeded our expectations! The house is in the hills away from the rush of life but still provides the California atmosphere. The property was very spacious with plenty of parking and room for activities outside. Inside, the house was very accommodating with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms (all very well kept). The hot tub and pool were clean and clear and provided many nights of fun and relaxation. The grill and bar outside contributed to the tropical atmosphere a great deal. The local neighborhood is tranquil and quiet which was great for late night chats on the back porch. Overall the team's experience with this property was superb and could not have been any better anywhere else.Owner response: The person who submitted this review was one of thirteen members of the United States Air Force Academy's triathlon team. You would think that thirteen guys staying in your home for seven days there might be some cleaning up to do. Quite the contrary, these guests left the home just as they found it. They even washed all the bedding and made the beds. I couldn't have been more impressed with these guests. It is nice to know that people of this caliber will someday be making decisions on behalf of our military. I hope they choose my home for next years outing.

I stayed here with my husband and two children this past weekend and we are so thrilled to have found this place. Very inviting home with plenty of space for the kids to run around and keep busy - great vacation getaway for a family. We'll definitely be back.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

This is a NON SMOKING unit.....except for outside. DAMAGE/RESERVATION DEPOSIT A reservation deposit of $500 is required. This must be received within two (2) days of booking the reservation. The deposit automatically converts to a security/damage deposit upon arrival. The deposit is NOT applied toward rent; however, it is fully refundable within (2) days of departure, provided the following provisions are met. • No damage is done to home or its contents, beyond normal wear and tear. • No charges are incurred due to contraband, pets or collection of rents or services rendered during the stay. • All debris, rubbish and discards are placed in dumpster, and soiled dishes are placed in the sink or dishwasher. • The opener for the electric gate is returned to the location where it was found. • All charges accrued during the stay are paid prior to departure. • No linens are lost or damaged. • NO early check-in or late checkout. • The renter is not evicted by the owner (or representative of the owner), the local law enforcement, or the security company employed by landlord. PETS - PETS are permitted on the property only with prior approval. Pet owners are responsible for cleaning up any/all pet refuse. Pets are not allowed on furniture at any time. Any evidence of pets on furniture may incur extra cleaning fees. All pets must be up-to-date on rabies vaccinations and all other vaccinations. Heartworm prevention is highly recommended. All pets are to be treated with Advantage or similar topical flea and tick repellent three (3) days prior to arrival. Fleas and ticks are very rampant in this area and can cause harmful/fatal illness to humans and pets. Guest should prevent pets from producing excessive noise at a level that disturbs neighbors. Pet will not be left unattended for an undue length of time, either indoors or out. Homeowner assumes no responsibility for illness or injury that may incur to pets or humans while on the premises. 1 All items above are the sole responsibility of the pet owner. NUISANCE Customer acknowledges that they will be respectful of neighbors and will obey posted signs and rules on the property premises. If the customer or anyone in the customer’s party causes a disturbance or nuisance at the premises, such that local law enforcement is contacted then the customer may be required to vacate the premises immediately at the discretion of owner. Any removal due to a nuisance or disturbance at the property will result in a forfeiture of the entire amount of the payment and all fees under this contract and loss of use of the property. Also, please make sure that flues are open and that fires are extinguished prior to going to bed or leaving the premises. SEPTIC This residence is on a septic systems. The septic system is very effective; however, it will clog up if improper material is flushed. DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper. No feminine products should be flushed at anytime. If it is found that feminine products have been flushed and clog the septic system, you could be charged damages of up to two hundred dollars ($200). TRAVEL INSURANCE We highly recommend all guests purchase travel insurance. If you wish to purchase travel insurance, go to www.InsureMyTrip.com for details and to purchase. 3  HOLD HARMLESS The Homeowners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities.
