A Spirit that Captivates
Comments upon departure. "You were right Caroline, Casa Bella is incredible. Standing in the entry there is a spirit that captivates the house. It is sweet, old world and makes you want to stay forever. We enjoyed the peace and a few of the books we brought along and only went out for a walk and dinner here and there. Just what we needed......total downtime. The greatest!"

Lovely Sensory Overload!
Email: “How do I describe my stay here? … hmmm … how about a lovely sensory overload?! Before we came we were sold on the photos, BUT they, by no means, did Casa Bella justice. Every time we stepped into the living room we’d stop, captivated by the ambiance, which took you to old Spain in seconds. We normally go out for dinner but Casa Bella always invited us to stay home. Loved, loved, loved the mountain views from the kitchen and breakfast nook, walks to the Tea House and Canyon Road, and enjoying the garden sun. Also enjoyed the shopping, galleries and day trips but every time we ventured out I looked forward to getting back to the house! I’ve never fallen in love with any place so fast, just sorry it took 30 years to get here. Thank you, Caroline for the great stay and all the helpful info you sent us. You and Casa Bella are the BEST ever!

Exquisite Santa Fe
Exquisite Santa Fe
Everything about the home and our experience with it was first class. It is located in a residential neighborhood close to the top of Canyon Rd. We loved watching storms gather in the late afternoon. We used the well equipped kitchen to make some meals. The house is furnished with lovely Spanish Colonial and native American artifacts. The home has two bedrooms, one at each end of the house which makes it ideal for two couples so each have privacy. The pictures and description were accurate.

Manager response: The views are great from the house and the weather is fun to watch as we have this microsystems dropping rain in selected spots. Casa Bella is sited well on top of the hill with east views of the foothills and framed views of town and the valley floor. It is interesting that guests of Casa Bella really enjoy living the house and will sometimes pass up a walk to town just to stay home and appreciate the surroundings.

Spectacular Casita Above Canyon Road
Spectacular Casita Above Canyon Road
The casita we stayed in was not only embellished with beautiful art, furniture, and woodworks it was the gem on the hill of casitas overlooking Canyon Road. The layout was perfect. The views from every window and patio were spectacular and the gourmet kitchen was perfect for our week stay. Thank you to Caroline for welcoming us and sharing this wonder of the west!! Beds, linens, kitchen wares, welcome basket all created the perfect anniversary week for us.

Casa Bella was exactly as represented online. We and our 21 yr old twins loved it. Usually we choose to be in the heart of historic downtowns but the proximity here was great. We focused on archaeology, geology, and art history, so the house was perfect as a springboard for day trips and local SF museums. Caroline was a daily wealth of info (sights, food, etc) and a pleasure to converse with. One of the best rental homes we've ever stayed in, home or abroad. If only all rentals lived up to one's hopes like this one did.

the "destination" bedrooms were great!
Personal Note: Thank you for introducing us to Casa Bella. The “destination” bedrooms were true to your description. At either end of the house, they were quiet, a sunny wakeup in the morning, and I could have spent the day with a good book in front of the fire if a trip to The Tea House for breakfast were not awaiting us. We were in heaven! See you again soon.
