  Casa Geneva more than lives up to its description. It's truly a lovely place to get away from the numbing gray of Seattle in winter. We have rented vacation homes via VRBO all over the US and Europe. This was the best experience by far. It truly exceeded our expectations! Every detail of the casita is well-designed aesthetically, as well as for comfort and relaxation. It strikes the perfect balance of a design that makes you feel immediately at home and of being a place that wants you to enjoy being there. That's rare, indeed, for a vacation rental. The bed is very comfortable, the shower is spacious and calming, the sofa and chairs are welcoming and there are inviting places to read in every part of the home. We enjoyed breakfast on the patio off the kitchen and having our nightly gin and tonic on the roof deck as we watched the sunset over the Pacific. One of the nicest surprises was the number of birds inhabiting the colorful gardens surrounding Casa Geneva. We identified warblers we had not seen before and took great pleasure in bird watching in general, and listening to birds singing from early morning until dark. There are miles and miles of sandy beaches and places to discover. The owners, Tony and Janelle are very special people and their love for the area is contagious. They take full advantage of living there themselves and were full of suggestions for things to do. Just observing them and their sense of living fully contributed to the pleasures of our 8-day stay memorable. We picked Todos Santos because we did not want a resort town. We are so glad we did. There are many layers to the Todos Santos community and the more you observe and experience the more you appreciate what a gem of a place this is. There are some excellent galleries and shops, and many good restaurants with friendly and smiling service. We found the prices inexpensive to moderate. Moreover, we felt safe. We got into a rhythm of just being there and feeling the present, moment to moment. We will definitely return for a longer stay.

  I came to Casa Geneva after a tough year of work, looking for calm, beauty and inspiration – and Todos Santos, Casa Geneva and its owners, Janelle and Tony, simply gave it to me. Casa Geneva is a house decorated with plenty of taste, a beautiful garden full of cacti, roses and flowering shrubs, decorated in pastel shades inside, equipped with everything you might possibly wish for and last but not least, so many terraces outside that you can simply move with the course of the sun. My favourite: its roof-top terrace,from which you can look out like the captain of the ship, either so the desert hills behind or straight out to the ocean and – at least between mid-January and March – to about 10 spouting whales per day. The casa is no more than a short and pleasant stroll to the beach, where you will be more or less on your own, can watch whales, manta rays, flying fish, pelicans or talk to the local fishermen. To go to Todos Santos it is 8-10 minutes by car. An authentic colonial, small Mexican city, full of galleries and restaurants with incredibly fine and interesting fusion cuisine, festivals and the most wonderful mix of interesting people, locals, Americans and a few Europeans. What can I say – to me (yes, I know it’s a cliché, but here you get as close to it becoming reality as you can imagine) it was paradise. Not to forget the important role that Janelle and Tony played, who are wonderful people, so knowledgeable about the place and always willing to help with whatever information you might need.   We stayed at Casa Geneva over the holidays this year. It was just wonderful. The home is beautiful, tastefully appointed and quite spacious. It really is a complete home away from home. Tony and Janelle were amazing hosts as well. They met us in town and guided us to the property our first night in town. They provided custom maps and detailed advice on what to do and where to eat in town. They even had us over for magaritas one night. I enjoyed it so much, I'm planning a trip to Taos just to stay in their other rental :)

  Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing.
