About the owner: My name is Karen, and Mike, my son, owns this lovely home in the Garden District. When Mike was five, we moved from New Orleans and lived in Black Forest, Colorado, for almost 22 years. As a youngster, Mike developed a passion for ice hockey. Even without ice rinks in the city, Mike returned to New Orleans to finish college the summer before Katrina. After that event, Mike worked at recovery for area properties and eventually entered the business of restoring old New Orleans homes. In 2008, my husband and I moved back to the city where I continued a career in education. Now that I am retired as an English teacher, I help Mike manage the rental of his home and assure that guests have a positive VRBO stay.
The Unique Benefits at this House: Our home in the Garden District is the perfect house for friends and family to enjoy New Orleans. Mike recently moved to another home near his work and wants someone else to have the opportunity to enjoy New Orleans from the house he enjoyed with family and friends. We have enjoyed many family and friend gatherings in the beautiful courtyard and living area. I think you will love the relaxing vibe of Mike's apartment.
