About the owner: Mary and Wade are long time Missoula residents with deep connections to Montana. Wade is a local home builder and Mary works for a non profit as an advocate for parents of children with disabilities.
They enjoy making memories at the lake with grandkids, friends, and their dogs.
Why the Owner Chose Seeley Lake: In the early 1930's, Mary's grandparents built a rustic lakeside log cabin on Seeley Lake. Some of her best memories were spending time at the lake when she was a child; it was truly a Montana dream. When the time came to build a place of their own, it had to be log and it had to be in the Seeley Swan Valley.
By 1989, Seeley Lake was very busy lake indeed. Wanting a quiet spot and a relatively warm water lake, they chose Placid Lake to build their cabin in the woods.
Although Placid Lake is close to the town of Seeley Lake and only an hour from Missoula, it is a peaceful place. It has little public access and is three miles off of the highway. A stay at Placid Lake a true Montana experience.
