Crystal Cove is located at beautiful Sapphire Beach on the East End of St. Thomas approximately one mile from the town of Red Hook.
Our newly renovated 2 bedroom (one with a king and one with 2 twins), 3.5 bath condo has an unparalleled beachfront location and is fully equipped for your convenience and comfort. There are also 2 murphy beds located in the living room. This spacious condo sleeps up to six people. The unit is air conditioned and has ceiling fans in every room. The kitchen appliances were purchased in November 2011 and include a refrigerator, microwave, stove/oven, dishwasher, blender, coffee maker and toaster. The kitchen has a complete set of dishes, silverware, glasses, wine glasses, and pots and pans. All linens, bath towels, beach towels and mid week maid service are provided. There is a telephone and a washer and dryer located in the condo for your convenience. Wireless internet is available for purchase from an outside service provider.
Our spacious condo is the only 2 floor condo in Crystal Cove, and is located in the sought after “A” building only steps from the half-mile long, palm lined white sand beach. Upstairs are two bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. Downstairs are the kitchen, dining room, living room (with 2 murphy beds) and a full bathroom. There are 2 bathtubs.
There is an oversized patio attached to the condo, which provides a wonderful spot to enjoy your morning cup of coffee, eat meals, relax with a book and enjoy the views of St. John, Tortola, Jost Van Dyke and Virgin Gorda.
Our condo is lovingly cared for by Norma and her team. You can call ahead and arrange for Norma to do your shopping. Norma can also arrange for a reliable ride to or from the airport, and can offer restaurant or babysitter recommendations. Norma also rents baby equipment for a minimal fee. Norma is your link to whatever you need in St. Thomas. Norma will also provide daily maid service for an additional fee.
The beach on which Crystal Cove is located provides consistently calm waters, making it ideal for water sports, snorkeling and scuba diving with the sea turtles and rays. Crystal Cove features 2 lighted tennis courts, a pool, a beachside shuffleboard court, and there is a dive/water sports center located on the beach. Chaise lounges and beach chairs are also provided free of charge by Diane, the friendly beach attendant.
At Sapphire Marina, located next door to Crystal Cove (a 5 minute walk), you can rent waverunners or charter a boat for a fishing expedition or a full or half-day day trip to one or more of the other nearby islands and cays.
Nearby Red Hook boasts a variety of bars (such as Duffy’s Love Shack - dubbed the coolest parking lot bar in the Caribbean, it has been featured in many publications), casual and fine restaurants, shops, a full service grocery store (with a bakery, deli, butcher, fish market and wine and cheese shop), banks, a pharmacy, and a walk-in medical clinic. Ferries to other islands, including St. John, Virgin Gorda and Tortola are also conveniently located in Red Hook. There are taxi’s that cost $1 to go to Red Hook from Crystal Cove.
Picturesque Charlotte Amalie, the capital of St. Thomas, offers world class shopping at low duty free prices. Charlotte Amalie is famous as a deep-water harbor that was once a haven for pirates and is now a famed cruise ship port of call. Charlotte Amalie has many buildings of historical importance and is home to St. Thomas Synagogue, the second-oldest synagogue in the Western Hemisphere. Taxis are available from Crystal Cove for the 20 minute drive.

This was such a great place to spend our trip away from the cold Northeast! The unit was the best location to the beach and very comfortable for our family of 4. The owner was very responsive to all questions and Norma was the best! The beach, snorkeling, close to Red Hook and the relaxing atmosphere of this condo had us realizing next year we will have to stay longer. Sapphire beach was definitely the nicest of all the beaches we visited on our stay. We had a great trip!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This condo is everything they say it is and more. The interior is convenient ,clean and spacious and the outdoor patio is awesome. You are literally steps from the most beautiful beach in St Thomas, the view is priceless. This is the biggest and best condo at Saphire Bay. Owner was helpful and transaction was easy with no problems. Check out Fish Tails resturaunt in Red Hook... great food. And definitely visit St Johns, Trunk bay is a must see!!! Cant wait to return and would definitely rent this condo again!!!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

We enjoyed a great vacation at this property on Sapphire Beach! The condo was spacious for a family of five (including three teenagers) and only steps to the beach. Beds were comfortable, plenty of hot water (and water pressure), the kitchen was nice (although we only used the refrigerator) and there were plenty of televisions (NFL Playoff weekend ... ). I accidentally locked us out of the master bathroom (with all my stuff inside). A quick email to the owner and someone showed up almost immediately to unlock the door! There were plenty of bath and beach towels. You may want to bring some laundry detergent when you visit ... in case you want fresh beach towels! The condo development was very quiet too ... no music or noise. It was great to lie in bed at night and hear nothing but the surf. This is a perfect low-key family vacation spot. Think pajamas and bathing suits ... leave your Lilly Pulitzer sundresses at home. The beach was quiet and clean. The bar/grill down the beach provided "Cabana Boy Service" ... brought our margaritas right to our chairs! The snorkeling was great ... there is an area off the beach where there are tons of sea turtles ... and there were a lot of beautiful fish. We chartered a private sailboat out of the Sapphire Beach Marina to take us around exploring the other islands and we stopped in Tortolla to swim with the dolphins (nice photo op for the kids). The boat was "HB Wells" ... the Captain was really fun, let the kids help sail the boat and made an unbelievable lunch. Definitely better than going out on one of the commercial boats crammed full of people. We ate several times at Fish Tales which is a few miles back up the road ... great sushi and a fun atmosphere. Definitely rent a car ... taxis are expensive and not plentiful in that area. We also went to the Marriott Resort to rent clear sea kayaks with lights to go night kayaking ... was a bust. Don't waste time with that. Will definitely go back to Sapphire Beach and will absolutely rent from this owner again. He was very easy to deal with and attentive to my (many) questions. Enjoy!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

This condo was perfect for our family of 6 and all of the bathrooms were wonderful because we have 4 girls. The patio was so nice for breakfast while looking at the beach and for grilling! This unit is the closest to beach and it is a wonderful beach! The snorkeling was so much fun with all of the different fish, spotted rays and sea turtles! We went to many beaches on the island, but this was our favorite. The owners were very helpful with info about local eateries and things to see and the cleaning lady Norma is the nicest lady on the island. The condo had sand toys for our sandcastle making contest, beach towels, and nice beach chairs are waiting for you on the beach. Most relaxing vacation I have ever had!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

There wasn't anything we didn't love about this place. It was perfect for our family of 5 with 3 kids age 12 and under. The unit was clean and comfortable with lots of room to spread out. The kids loved the murphy bed and hermit crabs that came nightly covering the patio and lawn area outside the front door. We loved grilling on the patio and eating breakfast with the view of the water. The close proximity to the water was perfect with the kids and the beach was spectacular. The owner was very helpful and attentive to any questions we had. There is plenty of shopping and dining in nearby Red Hook. We'd definitely recommend this place to anyone coming to St. Thomas.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Perfect four our needs, three and a half bathrooms were more than enough for the five of us staying. Sadly didn't get to spend enough time at the condo. Perfect snorkeling out the door, perfect space for gathering inside and out. Enough room to get away from others if you need some down time. Owners were very helpful in every way imaginable. Very clean and plenty of towels both for the bathrooms and the beach. Very Island, very charming... very everything. Best condo in the development, end unit, two floors two bedrooms very private.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Just returned from 4 days at this marvelous place. 5 adults had plenty of room. Clean, safe, simple living right on the beach. Snorkeling was as good as, if not a little better than Trunk Bay on St. John. I saw 3 sea turtles early the morning we had to leave. Easy to hop the open air bus to Red Hook for dinner. The owners answered all questions ahead of time and connected us with a person there who arranged cabs, including a grocery stop on the way from the airport. I would definitely go back.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, families with young children, girls getaway.

About the owner: This condo has been owned by the same family since 1972 and is now owned by the third generation of family members, each of whom has been coming to Crystal Cove annually since they were babies. The fourth generation loves nothing more than coming to Crystal Cove when on vacation from school.
