A Beautiful Home for 2-5 in Oia, Overlooking the Volcano!

  We stayed in this cave home, Lucky Home 1, during the slow season in late March. From our initial contact with property manager, Tania, to our sad good-bye 4 days later we had a fantastic time, were impressed with Tania's orientation and assistance during our stay and highly recommend staying at this location in Oia. Most of the restaurants were closed during "slow season" so the small, but adequate kitchen served us well. Two markets are a short walk away. With the busy season on the horizon, an army of workers were busy doing maintance on other buildings. Although this was a minor distraction, it is something to consider when planning the dates of your stay. We highly reccommend this time of year as we can't imagine the being there with the flocks of high season tourists.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway.

  My husband and I were lucky enough to stay in Oia home 1 for a month over May/June of this year. Tania dealt with our booking and was very professional and helpful with arranging transfers and offering to book a restaurant for me in advance of our arrival. Thomas met us at the taxi and showed us the way to Lucky Homes. These homes are very appropriately named, as they are indeed a lucky find. Thomas spent a good deal of time running through a list of activities and restaurants that we should try all over Santorini. All of the recommendations were wonderful - thank you. We would add one more restaurant to your list though - Red Bicycle in Oia. It is just a few doors down the path from Lucky Homes and the food is wonderful, as is the view! Oia home 1 is an amazing cave house, which could sleep up to 5 people. There were a couple of extras features which we didn't realise we would have access to (as they weren't listed in the information we saw on-line), but which we really appreciated. These extras included a safe, a hair dryer, WiFi Internet access and an iron. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, utensils etc, if you feel the need to cook. There were also other lovely touches to the home, such as candles and decorations in the bathrooms. The veranda is superb. It is very private, not overlooked at all and has the most amazing view, which we didn't tire of at all over the month!! The outside furniture and umbrella made spending time outside thoroughly enjoyable. Ioanna came each day to clean in a very efficient and unobtrusive manner - thank you Ioanna. At the end of our holiday when we had a late flight out of Santorini, Tania was very helpful in arranging a car for us for the day. Tania and Thomas were both very helpful throughout our stay with any queries we had. We would highly recommend Lucky Homes and Oia home 1 in particular to anyone who wants the privacy and independence of an apartment rather than a hotel. The photos of Lucky Homes on the various websites are accurate, although the view is even better in person.

  Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

  We spent three nights at Oia Home I in May 2012. Thomas met us upon our arrival at Lucky homes and gave us a long list of restaurant recommendations and places to visit. We went to three restaurants that Thomas recommended and they were all great and had wonderful service! It was so helpful that he provided that. Location for Lucky homes is great, in the heart of Oia, a quick one minute walk to where everyone gathers for the sunset. Also, the balcony for Oia Home I is amazing, very large, a comfy couch and full table and great views of the caldera!!

RATES ABOVE ARE FOR 2 ADULTS. EVERY EXTRA ADULT IS CHARGED 40 EUROS PER NIGHT, OR 250 EUROS PER WEEK.

CHILDREN UNDER 7 YEARS OF AGE ARE NOT CHARGED.

A 25% DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED TO MAKE THE RESERVATION. THE BALANCE IS CHARGED UPON ARRIVAL.
