My wife and I really enjoyed our brief stay at Nana's camp. Everything was clean and tidy, the September Maine weather was grand and this lakefront property is perfect. Mary was extremely good about communication and we could not have asked for a better experience. Don't hesitate to rent Nana's camp!

camp fart smell
camp fart smell
this camp was a disapointment the first day when we opened the door and smelled poop. after we opened the windows it got better but noticed when we used the water it smelled worse. try brushing your teeth with poop. the so called beach was mucky and full of leaches not to mention you had to walk out 50 feet to get up to your knees in the lake. not ever going here again would have had a better time with a gas mask. Dont give these people a security deposit u wont get it back im sure there using it to fix the septic and well so dont expect it back.

Owner response: Renter left premises in very poor condition (food scattered on the lawn, missing lawn chair, fish hooks on the deck at camp and deck next door, cigarette butts in trash and some on lawn despite property being non-somking inside & outside , dog hairs in the silverware drawer, etc.). She also brought a child with her without notifying me. For these reasons, I do not want this review published. Mary Gordon, manager Watson Family Farm, LLC

About the owner: Nana's Camp is part of the Watson Family Farm, LLC. This proerty has been in my family for generations. I am currently the manager of the property. We were pleased to be able to offer it for rent last year after renovations were completed. I'm a retired, married and have two adult children.
Why the Owner Chose Belgrade Lakes:
The Watson property was a working farm until the 1960's.My great-grandparents pulled the farmhouse across a frozen Salmon Lake in the 1800's. Nana's Camp was built by my grandfather and uncle for my parents' honeymoon in the 1930's. Wendell Cottage next door was built for my uncle after WW2. Many family members have enjoyed the property over the years.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
Salmon lake is fun for swimming, fishing, boating. You can rent boats or bikes near by. Because the camp is at the end of a private camp road, traffic is very limited. Sunrises are spectacular over the lake. You can enjoy the loons but don't feed the ducks or geese that may visit. We have had a bald eagle and osprey nesting by the lake.
