Burgau is a pretty fishing village with lots of restaurants to choose from. Western Algarve is unspoilt and there are many coves and beautiful beaches to choose from to the dramatic West Coast, a paradise for surfers.
Alma Verde sits between two fantastic golf courses, Parque da Floresta and Boavista, about 5 mins drive either way. The drive from Faro Airport is a comfortable 50 minutes.

Pool heating is charged at GBP110 per week.

Villa Flores is beautiful, close to everything, but beautifully quiet and secluded. If you were so inclined, you could spend the whole week by the pool and not leave. The whole house is luxuriously outfitted with a great kitchen. There are three great eating areas, and if the weather's great (as it was for us), you'll eat every meal on the terrace or by the pool. We had six adults and a seven year old, and never once did it feel busy, even when we retired to watch TV some evenings. There's a consistent cooling breeze, and due to the design of the place, you never get blown around, so it's a welcome cooling factor. Burgau itself is lovely, with some superb local restaurants and a great beach. What a place - we'll be back, very soon!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children.

About the owner: I purchased this villa for my family, I have three children and it is a real bolthole away from the hectic day to day life.
