Aruba Vacation in Malmok
Aruba Vacation in Malmok
Rik's Villa was great; the pictures did not show how beautiful and clean it was. Rik met us at the Villa and was very helpful in answering questions (we had not been to Aruba since 1993.) Our family loved the quiet neighborhood and the direct access to the beach. We frequently walked across or drove about a mile up the beach to snorkel each day. With 5 kids, we had plenty of room and enjoyed eating our breakfast out on the patio. 5 out of the 7 of us went on one of the snorkeling cruises; however, the snorkeling was basically right in front of the Villa or just down the beach, however go if you want to snorkel the Antilla. 5 of us also went windsurfing one day, Rik provided easy contacts to do many different things on the island. The lessons were easy and it was only a couple minutes down the beach. Everything in the Villa worked great, the pool was excellent and private for the kids (complete with an iguana behind the concrete wall that they took many pictures of.) We started out using the A/C at night but switched to the Aruba breeze after the first night. We frequented the restaurants around the high rise area primarily and always had a good meal. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We drove around the north side of the island and back down the coast; fortunately we didn’t get a flat tire as we were in a minvan. Next time we will get a jeep to make the whole trip as it was beautiful. We are planning on going back to Aruba and staying at Rik’s place, everyone had a great time. We would all highly recommend staying at the Villa, thanks Rik!

absolutely stunning! We will be back!!!
I just got back from Aruba and rented the villa. From the first look I feel in love with it! It is so beautiful inside and the pool and yard are perfect. We saw plenty of tropical birds and iquanas and even feed them apples. It was so peaceful. The house is spotless and the marble floors are to die for. the kitchen is well stocked with dishes so if you want to cook everything you need is there. Rik was wonderful and even met us at the airport and although we were staying in a timeshare the first week he took us there. We love the timeshare but we both agreed that the peacefulness of the villa is something we are thinking about doing next year also as we go in january every year for two weeks and sometimes have to fight to get a chickee on the beach near the ocean. There are people that go down at 4 in the morning and reserve them. It was nice at the villa sleeping in and not worrying if we will have a good spot to lay out. The beach is right across the street and windsurfing is right down the beach. It is very close to the palm beach/high rise area but far away enough to be quiet. Aruba is a wonderful island. I would recommend renting a car to tour the island and for those trips to the grocery store. Its very easy to drive there.

Year Purchased: 2004
About the owner: Retired corporate finance banker, from Holland. Living on Aruba as a resident for 6 years. A nice and very welcome change of life. We know aua as of 1988. We moved to a country where the Dutch has ties for over a couple of centuries. There's no winter here and a very friendly, hospitable population.
Why the Owner Chose Malmok:
It's all about location - location - location! Malmok is Aruba's top residential area and close to all shopping/restaurants, etc. Also: what can you do when you're in love with the ocean..!?!? Then: we enjoy our 'talks' with the trupial and parakees that sing in the palm-trees every morning and evening..!
The Unique Benefits at this Villa:
As stated earlier: away from it all: quiet, super private. Yet very close to all the action and a sandy, public beach at 95 steps from the villa with plenty possibilities to swim/snorkle.
