Our condo is a spacious 1,200 sq ft and is on the third floor with 2 large bedrooms. The Master bedroom has a King bed, and the 2nd bedroom has two double beds. There are 2 full baths, a fully equipped kitchen, large living area, a huge wrap-around deck, central air conditioning, cable TVs, and a full size washer and dryer. The unit features new sofas and living room furniture, new carpet, tile floors, and has been freshly painted. The HVAC Unit was replaced in 2012 with a new energy efficient model.
Our NO SMOKING condo presents a very comfortable relaxing atmosphere. No pets please.
The main living area has a full sized couch and a love seat (with a pull-out bed), coffee table, one end table with lamps, TV/DVD and a ceiling fan. From this room, there are two sets of sliding doors onto a wrap-around deck that is great for morning coffee, evening cocktails, or simply relaxing and reading a good book. A panoramic view of the golf course and driving range is directly outside the sliding glass doors. To the right, there is also a small pond with a variety of wildlife.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all the cookware, silverware, dishes, glasses and coffee mugs you will need during your stay. There is a NEW refrigerator, electric stove, microwave oven, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker and blender. The kitchen opens to the living room across a half-wall bar with four stools. A dining room nook is next to the kitchen with windows to enjoy the sun.
The master bedroom features a walk in closet, private full bathroom, and access to the wrap around deck. The 2nd bedroom also has a private full bath, and access to a screen enclosed porch.
The complex is on the mainland directly across the street from the intercostal waterway. We are only two miles to the Barrier Island and beach where a new causeway takes you to Sunset Beach Island and the beach. There are beautiful views of the intercostal waterway and marsh along Shoreline Drive along the way.
There is plenty of public parking once on the island and several access points to the right and left along the beach front road. Sunset Beach features a fishing pier where for a small fee you can fish or enjoy the scenery. You can also enjoy riding your bike or a rented one from the beach front store on the beach, to the rocky jetty at the end of the barrier island.
Two miles to the south is Calabash, NC, known for its many seafood restaurants and has the title of “Seafood Capital of the World”! The shopping is fantastic as well and you can visit the docks to purchase fresh seafood.
The Colony I Resort is beautifully nestled between the Oyster Bay Golf Course and the unspoiled beauty of Sunset Beach. Our condo is located on the northern end of the Myrtle Beach Strand, world famous for the many excellent golf courses; including these courses that are within a 15-20 minute drive from our condo: Oyster Bay, The Thistle, Sandpiper Bay, The Pearl, Sea Trail(3X), Lion’s Paw, Tiger’s Eye, Crow Creek, Brunswick Plantation, and Meadowlands.
North Myrtle Beach is a 15 minute drive south along Rte. 17. Myrtle Beach is known for hundreds of fine dining establishments, live entertainment, dancing, amusement parks, miniature golf, and shopping. Notable places to check out are Broadway at the Beach and Barefoot Landing. Park and walk around these family fun areas for shopping, live entertainment, and dining with a theme park atmosphere.

THIS CONDO OFFERED EVERYTHING WE NEEDED FOR A GREAT WINTER VACATION, GOLF, BEACH, AND TERRIFIC COASTAL TOWNS TO VISIT. PICTURES ACCURATELY DEPICTED A VERY TASTEFULLY DECORATED CONDO. THE OWNER WAS VERY PLEASANT AND ACCOMMODATING. WE'RE ALREADY LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT YEAR.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, girls getaway, age 55+.

My family enjoyed a lovely stay at this very clean, comfortable, and well kept condo. My young daughters especially enjoyed the boogie boards which were available for our use by the owners, as well as the pool right on the condo premises. The property was within a quick drive to the beach, restaurants, tourist shops, and the grocery store, making for a really fun and relaxing getaway. Many thanks for sharing your charming condo!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Thanks so much for sharing your condo with us. We absolutely loved it. We had the most quiet, relaxing and comfortable time. It was just what we were looking for. The condo was very CLEAN. Our family really enjoyed our stay at Sunset Beach. Your condo was perfect for our family of five. The kids had lots of fun playing with the board games, watching classic movies and swimming in the pool. We had a great time these past fews days! We really enjoyed your condo and appreciate all the extras you have, like the beach closet and the washing detergent! Thank you for going the extra step. About the owner: My wife and I are both teachers in Gwinnett County, Georgia. We have two beautiful girls (ages 9 & 8). We love to travel when whenever we have the chance, but also enjoy relaxing in our beach condo. We are excited about sharing that 2nd home with you.
Why the Owner Chose Sunset Beach:
We traveled to Sunset Beach for an anniversary trip and fell in love with the area. The beaches are pristene and not over-built like in many other areas. The people are nice and helpful. The restaurants and shopping still have a very local feel which is refreshing. We decided to purchase a family get-away home in 2011 after many years of looking and dreaming. We hope you enjoy our small piece of paradise as much as we do! This is our version of 'Paradise Falls' from 'Up- the Movie'. We didn't want to wait until 'someday' to make the dream of owning a family beach get-away a reality.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
We love the fact that we are literally minutes from the beach. We can take a morning walk or a sunset stroll, or easily go back and forth from the beach to the condo for lunch, naps etc. Being so close with easy parking in both places means the convenience of a family beach trip is that much easier.
