  My family and I rented out Casamari for a week during spring break and were very happy we did. The house was a close 5 minute walk to the beach and restaurants. The property was very nice with a spectacular view of the whole bay and with all the amenities from home such as Wi-Fi and Cable television. It was close to town but also far enough away to not hear that much of the noise. Having a pool on site was also great since the beaches were very full during the time we visited. The caretaker of the property was also very nice and helpfull. We loved our stay and would definetely stay there if we ever go back, I recommend the property to anyone looking for a nice house in the city of San Juan del Sur.

  Quiero felicitar a los propietarios de esta hermosa casa, nuestra estadia fue placentera y nos sentimos como en casa. La ubicacion de la casa no podria ser mejor en pleno centro de la ciudad a pasos de restaurantes, mercados etc. La vista desde el balcon es maravillosa, ya desde las 6 AM me despertaba y salia con mi tasa de cafe y disfrutar el amanecer, ver el mar con las montanas que lo rodean y muchos pajaritos al rededor es en verdad relajante. Tambien quiero mencionar el excelente trabajo que Maria y Raul hacen, son personas muy trabajadoras y amables, gracias a ellos nuestra estadia fue mas agradable.

  We came to San Juan for a wedding and our party of 10 was immediately impressed with CASAMARI- location was unbelievable- 2 minutes into town, the view from the upper deck was awesome- we had breakfast looking at the water everyday. Speaking of breakfast- Maria made us incredible food every morning for our party- She is so incredibly nice. We would lay by the pool during the day, make our way into town, and relax at night- It was the perfect place to escape in between wedding activities. I'm already looking forward to coming back to this place

  My family and friends recently rented CasaMari for a week and I feel like my review won't do the property justice. The panoramic view of the San Juan Del Sur bay was breathtaking. The property is completely secure with staff on site at all times -- we felt completely safe, even with our 5 month old daughter. Huge common area with full kitchen and tons of sleeping accommodation. The upstairs patio is wonderful for watching the sunsets in the evening, and the location is fantastic -- just a short 5 minute walk to the beach and town centre. The staff (Maria and Raul) are very friendly and non-invasive. One thing to note is that San Juan Del Sur is set up on a series of hills that surrounds a bay and this property is located at the top of a relatively steep hill. Anyone with problems with mobility could potentially struggle with it. Having said that, we pushed a stroller up the hill multiple times a day and didn't have any issues. I would absolutely recommend anyone to stay at CasaMari and will definitely book this property when we come back to visit San Juan Del Sur.

  A group of friends from the U.S. came down to celebrate my brothers bachelor party and we rented from Maritza.and it was everything she promised it would be and more! The pictures do not do the house justice. Everything was well maintained and clean. The woman who cooked and clean for us was also very wonderful. The house is located 2 blocks from central San Juan del Sur and all its restaraunts. No car is needed if you are staying here and the view is spectacular! Thanks Maritza

  We had a great time San Juan del Sur due in large part to this spectacular home. It was a pleasure dealing with the owner, Maritza. She made the booking process simple, was easily accessible and answered all of our questions. The groundskeeper, Raul, and his mother, Maria, who is the housekeeper were friendly, professional and responsible. The house is in a completely walled in compound and very secure, although not necessary since the area is safe. It was fun playing with Raul's two black labs who would walk with us to town in the morning, take a dip in the ocean, and follow us back home. The house was as good or better than advertised. It had all of the conveniences of our own home. The view from the humongous balcony were beautiful--much better than what is shown in the photos listed in VRBO. Maritza was nice enough to have a tree trimmed prior to our arrival, which enhanced our great view. We rented an SUV because we wanted to visit a lot of different areas of Nicaragua but if you intend to stay in San Juan del Sur then you don't need a rental car because this house in right in town and close to everything. We took day trips to Playa de Coco, Playa Hermosa, and Playa Maderas. All great beaches. Maderas is the best for surfing and Hermosa is the best for a day with the family as it has hammocks and covered tiki huts. We had good meals at Brisas Marinas, El Timon and the pizza place (don't remember the name) and they are all on the beach. Incredibly, the pizza was a standout--who would think you could get such good pizza on the beach in SJDS. El Colibri is widely recogized as the best restaurant in SJDS; however, I did not care for it. I did not enjoy my steak and actually got sick as did another person in our party who ordered a different meal. This was the only time anyone in our 8 person party got sick. I liked it so much that I plan on returning next year and hopefuly I can rent this same house!

  Both of us have traveled extensively in Europe, the U.S. and Latin America and we can say that our stay in Casamari was wonderfully relaxing and yet exhilarating as the best of the hotels anywhere in the world. The beach is so close and the vistas are breathtaking. The accomodations were first rate: a comfortable bed, air conditioning, beautifully outfitted bathroom with very nice and modern fixtures with plush, moisture-thirsty towels. Everything was fully operational, spotless and in order. They even provided a phone to call back home! We walked everywhere and felt unusually safe. People were friendly and helpful. We walked to town and got loaves of bread and cheeses, salami and coffee for breakfast. We also dined at some of the fine restaurants in town which included all kinds of fantastic seafood. We loved being able to get around and seeing the ocean so close and sunsets that were unparallelled. We will be back for sure but we will make sure we allow ourselves at least a week to truly take in the local flavor and immerse ourselves in the tranquility and relaxation San Juan del Sur has to offer. ~~ Cody and Carmen Pelham

  Our stay at Casamari could not have been any better; as advertised the sunsets were AMAZING every single night. The view from the balcony is breathtaking with the warm breezes and the sound of the waves crashing just a couple blocks away. SJDS is a perfect blend of sleepy fishing village and awesome food, slow pace with gourmet meals and the prices are always good. All of this just two blocks from Casamari. There are a lot of activities in SJDS if that's what you are looking for as we took in a few but to be honest we could have just stayed at the house and been completely happy. Maria and Raul were always very courteous and always helpful if we needed anything. We will definitely return again.

  Our stay at CASAMARI was wonderful.  From the accommodations (including the private pool) to the helpful staff, nothing could have been more fun.  We rested and recharged when we wanted and made the short trips to the wonderful beaches when we felt the urge for some sand time. I had not surfed in years.  But, I found it to be like riding a bike. Once you learn, you never forget.  The waves and the ocean could not have been more pleasant. Anyone looking to kick back, relax and still have enough excitement to keep it interesting could not go wrong with a trip the San Juan. CASAMARI was prefect for the two of us. We walked everywhere. Always felt safe and had great inexpensive meals.  We were so taken with the area, that we are looking for a long term rental or maybe a home purchase in the area. The Eagles wrote...call some place paradise...kiss it good bye.  I hope this does not happen to San Juan. We will return to CASAMARI next year. Thanks for a wonderful stay and experience.
