"A Place at the Beach" is the name of our TRULY DIRECT OCEANFRONT, TOP FLOOR, END UNIT with spectacular views. The pictures say it all but I will try to describe some of the best features.
This is a much sought after top floor, end unit on the south end of the building which makes it the most desirable location in a quality building. There are no units above you and just one to the side. Both the master bedroom and living room open to our oceanfront deck (with tall adirondack chairs, kiddie chairs and table) and the south wall of our living room has two large windows looking at the ocean and beach to the south due to the fact that our building sits closer to the beach than all our neighbors' beach cottages sit. Our condo has a new central air conditioning system, a new flat screen TV with a DVD/VCR player, and a new stereo. Our condo is nicely decorated with fun beach touches throughout and is a fantastic place for a family vacation or a romantic getaway.
Our quiet building has its own private pool (with lounge chairs) surrounded by palm trees. We are 1/2 mile north of the Boardwalk which boasts numerous shops and restaurants. Just two blocks from our condominium is the Marina with daily departures on fishing charters, sunset cruises, dinner cruises, and boat rentals. There are rinse-off showers on the ground floor and a laundry room for your use. In our storage area, we have three beach fold-up chairs, two beach lounge fold-up chairs, a big beach umbrella (and some buckets and shovels, a boogie board and noodles for the kids) so there is no need to haul all that stuff on top of your car.
The master bedroom (queen bed) has its own TV/VCR and half bath as well as an oceanfront window and oceanfront door and wicker furniture. The second bedroom has three beds in a playful, nautical theme. The top is a single, the bottom a double and the stand alone bed is a twin. The full bath in the hall has just been remodeled with a new shower, sink, ceramic tile, and nice decor. You will find everything you need in the full kitchen with brand new appliances.
There is so much to do at Carolina Beach. A fantastic new North Carolina Aquarium is at the south end of the island next to historic Fort Fisher. Daily programs include divers who swim with sharks and rays and a touching pond for the kids. A ten-minute drive takes you to the city of Wilmington. The historic riverfront downtown has brick streets, waterfront restaurants, loads of antique shops, horse-drawn carriage rides, and fantastic restaurants.
Across the river is the battleship North Carolina with daily tours. Of course, there is plenty to do right at Carolina Beach with festivals throughout the year, a movie theater, amusement park, and water slide on the island, as well as fishing piers and the boardwalk. A short walk out your door will bring you to a variety of Carolina Beach's best restaurants.
In 2004, our condo rented every week from May through September and many weekends in the other months, so we encourage you to book early. We keep the attached calendar updated. Once you find the dates you desire, EMAIL us and we'll get back to you promptly with information on reserving your dates.
We feel sure that you'll love staying at our beachfront condo as much as we do! |
