My family surprised me with a trip to the beach. What a great time! The house was lovely, the view was great, we found lots of "treasures" on the beach! Loved this house!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Wonderful place to stay for a vacation! Beautiful house and view. Quiet, nice, and peaceful. Got everything I need just like at home but on the beach. Very clean and very satisfied. We have stayed in many rentals over the years on the coast. This was the best we have ever been in. House is as new, well maintained, excellent view, good beach access. Couldnt ask for anything better!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This was an excellent location and accommodation for our family. The view is amazing. The best I've seen on the coast. Toys, books and DVDs for our kid. Perfect. Thanks for a great stay. We will be back...Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of board games and toys available for kids of all ages. A little disappointed by the sizes of the bathrooms (though very adequate) only because everything else was soooo spectacular and spacious. The views and front rooms more than made up for it. The kitchen was absolutely well-equipped for ANY meal I wanted to make. You had everything! I was very surprised at how well-stocked the spice cupboard was, though I know this was probably due to what the previous guests have left behind. You even have a baby spoon! One of my favorite things was making a fire in the wood stove and feeling its warmth as we watched TV or played games on the rug. The fire from the wood stove sufficiently warms the front room & kitchen without any heat on. The house is so well insulated that waking up in the mornings was never chilly even though I didn't have the heat on overnight. I just made sure the rooms were warm when I went to bed. It rained the whole 5 days I was there, but watching the weather was fantastic! It never dampened our spirits. I love having the garage! When it's pouring for 5 days, the garage makes a difference! I love that my daughter was able to have her own playroom or watch her kids' movies yet still feel close when I was cooking in the kitchen or her dad is reading or watching TV in the living room. I love your dining table, too! It's big enough to seat 8 yet not feel too big for our family of 3. And the deck!!!....GORGEOUS!!! I loved that my daughter was able to safely play in the rain on the deck while I was able to watch her through the extra large windows facing the ocean and still stay dry inside our cozy house AND was able to enjoy the fantastic ocean views all at the same time! I will be finding any excuse to come back and visit multiple times through-out the year!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

We just got home from our time at the beach and loved our stay at the Beach Ball so much that we're already looking at our 2013 calendar to figure out when we can come again. We have a nearly 4 year old and an 8 month old and the property was great for them. Our daughter (the nearly 4 year old) had an amazing time exploring the house, the games, the toys - and, of course, the beach. She spent hours sweeping the beautiful deck with the seaweed she found. Our 8 month old loved the area rug in the living room, and the sea breeze. We loved the entire experience - location, amenities, beach access - everything. When we left, our daughter asked us to hang a sign on the door that said "[Last Name] Family Only" so no one else could stay there... something tells me the owners wouldn't like that too much. :) Thanks for an absolutely fantastic family vacation. I cannot recommend this place high enough. One note - access to the beach is down a pretty rocky walkway - make sure you have good shoes for navigating this - especially if you have little ones in tow.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This was a great place for our family of 6. We had plenty of room. The water was cold but there was so much to do! Crabbing was a blast! Beach combing was also fun. The view was great and the sunset spectacular. We can't wait to go back again!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My husband and I along with 2 other couples spent a wonderful winter weekend at this Gleneden Beach front home. The weather alternated from stormy to fair, but it hardly mattered. The views from the cottage were stunning. Beach access was easy and the proximity to Depoe Bay and other attractions quite perfect for our group. The home accommodated the 6 of us very well.
