  This house exceeded my expectations, and I've been renting houses on Block Island for over 20 years. The newly renovated kitchen is a real cook's kitchen, just fabulous, and very well equipped. (Although no pantry closet to use for renters, so we piled all our groceries on the mud room counter!). The house accommodated my 10 family members from both my 2-1/2 year old grand daughter to my 88 year old mother (who enjoyed the downstairs room off the living room with a private bath, no stairs to climb!). The only challenge was for the couple staying on the third floor that has a little "suite" and two single beds, as the only bathroom to use is two flights down on the main level. The two bathrooms on the 2nd level are behind closed bedroom doors so you wouldn't want to walk through one of these when someone's sleeping to use either of the 2nd floor bathrooms. I'd say it sleeps 8 really comfortably, and the 3rd floor is more of a crash space for the extra guest who's not staying all week. Also, the approach to the house from the driveway is a steep climb up a grassy hill, nothing to hold on to to get to the front door. There really should be steps up. The house is decorated with contemporary, colorful and clean graphics, and the seating in the open living space was comfortable. The house is full of beautiful light and views. And the upstairs tub in the master suite is a joy. The dining table is huge and easily and comfortably seats 10. The deck chairs are a little wobbly, but the sunset views are just beautiful!

  This house had everything anyone could ask for. We were 8 adults, myself and husband and our 3 grown children and spouses. There was plenty of room (and bathrooms) for all of us. The best was the amazing new kitchen. All of our kids are great cooks and each signed up for a night of cooking. There was no need to go out for dinner. The walk to the beach was only minutes away, but lots of room in the yard for lawn games. You will need a car, but we had anticipated that. Town is only 6 minutes away. The house is very well appointed.

  We had a wonderful vacation in this beautiful, well-maintained and updated home. The newly renovated kitchen was fabulous, and I appreciated having all the modern conveniences of home, With all the cooking we do on our Block Island vacations, it was perfect. The rest of the house is also very updated, including the bathrooms. It was so light and airy, with plenty of room for 10 people. The layout of the bedrooms and bathrooms worked well for 2 families. The downstairs queen bedroom was a perfect "second" master bedroom. The deck, with a large grouping of adirondack chairs as well as a picnic table, was a great place to enjoy evenings and sunsets!

  This beautiful home is large, airy, welcoming, full of light. Working in wonderful kitchen, amazingly fully equipped, is a pleasure. WIFI access great, cellphone not so much. But house has a land line. Our little ones, 1 1/2 and 5, loved the porch and kid-size Adirondack chairs. View of sails on the water, sunsets. Nautical artistic touches add to charm.

  My family really enjoyed our stay at the Kelley House. It was quiet, clean, and comfortable. We'd stay there again, next time we're on the island.

  My family has been renting on the Block for the past 17 years. We had to move around due to our family size increasing. We settled at 10 people. This house is everything it says it is in the owners description. For our family, especially because we love to cook, the renovated kitchen with the commercial appliances was heaven. Further, there was nothing we needed that the owners hadn't thought of already. The actual set up of the rooms, bathrooms and areas for each guest is perfect. My room was the one on the first floor and just as they say it is situated in such a way that it is private and you can have your space. From my first email with the owner until our arrival she was helpful, friendly and engaging. They are very attentive renters. You can walk right out the back door and up a little hill to a Greenway, which we did. The town beach is approximately a 5-7 minute drive, as is claming at Andy's Way or shopping in town. No crazy dirt roads to travel like we normally do, so the car will not have to be serviced upon return. And finally, don't underestimate the air conditioning. Usually I do not use it. On Block Island, however, the fog can roll in and within minutes the water is dripping down the window screens and your comfy bed has damp sheets. Not here--close up the doors and windows, turn on the AC and you will never know. Once the dampness has passed and the sun returned, off with the AC and back to the open windows, and doors. And speaking of windows, my final point will be just how clean the windows were. It seemed as if there were no windows because you could not tell as you looked out of them that there was glass between you and the view. For not being on the water, as we usually are, this was a wonderful surprise. I highly recommend this to families traveling together.
