This custom, tropical, almost at the beach house is located in a very quiet, small cul-de-sac, just past the four mile marker on Alii Drive, just around the corner from Magic Sands Beach Park.
Tastefully and tropically landscaped, this two-story, ocean-view, pool house has lots of windows to bring the ocean views and breezes in, and slate floors, a tile roof, and large pool to help you keep cool and comfortable. There is a custom rock wall surrounding the property, and room for six cars in the 2 driveways.
The upstairs level has a full livingroom, diningroom, and kitchen, complete with an entertainment area, as well as a small office area; all with ocean views and breezes, underneath a beautifully finished natural wood vaulted open beam ceiling. Two of the four bedrooms are up here; the master is 16'x20', w/ocean views, a king bed, & private full bathroom; the other is a queen at 13'x16' with partial mountain views. A second full bathroom is next to it.
A walk down the wide, open stairway, leads to an almost identical floor plan, with a few exceptions. The downstairs master, is also a king w/private full bath, does not have the same views as the one upstairs, but is cooler, as is the other bedroom downstairs, which has two twin beds.The fourth full bath is right next to the twin bedroom.
The family room on this floor is basically the same as above, with lots of slate flooring but no second stove. It is cooler here than upstairs, and opens to the large, clean, enclosed, pool area with barbecue, spa, and laundry area. EACH and every room in the house has its own phone, TV with cable, and a large ceiling mounted fan with light. The only stove (a smooth top) and dishwasher are in the upstairs kitchen.
BOTH floors have their own, new, large refrigerators with ice and water dispensers, coffee makers, toasters, blenders, and counter, cabinet, and dining areas as well as tables, chairs, and sleeper sofas.
The pool area is complete with extra tanks for the barbecue, multiple dining, seating, and pool lounging arrangements.The pool is 15' by 30', in ground, 7' deep to 4 1/2' in the shallow end. I have seen kids refuse to leave the pool ( no joke ).
The spa was replaced in Dec 2004 with a larger new spa that will hold 5-6 adults. There is a large collection of different-sized mask, snorkel, and fin sets as well as toys and floats for kids, and some beach chairs, that my guests have left for their next visit.
Pool service is Wednesdays, trash pickup on Mondays and Thursdays, and yard service every other Thursday. Housekeeping/maid service is provided before and after each occupancy.

Over 8 guests, please add $35 per night per each additional guest.
A Cleaning Fee of $260 also applies.
A $250 Deposit is required for reservation; upon arrival it becomes
your fully refundable security deposit. 1/2 the rental costs are due
60 days prior to arrival, the balance is due 30 days prior to arrival.

First time visit to Hawaii July 15 -27 2007 Saw listing on vrbo Parents, children and grandchildren from North Royalton, Great Aunt Ri from Olmsted TWP. Welcomed warmly by Paul upon arrival...fresh flowers made it special too, as was his willingness prior to our arrival to stock a few staples per our request after a long day of travel. The house was well maintained and as told prior to booking A/C was not really necessary..Also true. The house is in a very quiet residential area..very safe. No bugs was also nice...did not mind a few resident geckos. Snorkeling with turtles and colorful tropical fish was amazing here in Kona. Have really had a wonderful time even with a couple days of rain and clouds. The very bestest of the best. We will always remember the warmth and sincerity of Paul, our host...You will see... His desire is to provide you with whatever he can to make your stay as pleasant and comfortable as he can. He is a real gem...Thanks Paul for the memories, hope to visit again. The Lugli's
