This luxurious yet uniquely rustic home, newly constructed on the highest point in the area, offers views of bays spanning both Great Peconic and Little Peconic to Jessep's Neck including North Sea Harbor looking out to Robbin's Island. The wooded side of house and property includes miles of trails to explore on foot, horseback or motorized vehicle, winter or summer.
The centerpiece of the home is it's massive stone fireplace - wonderful on cool Hampton summer nights as well as warming a winter day - the base of which was made with large rocks taken from the building site itself. It is open on both sides, to dining area and living room and extends up to the second level open balcony.
Many of the railings on stair case and open balcony have been ornamented with the local twisted beauty of Mountain laurel branches. Columns of silvered cedar trees provide support and beauty throughout. The shower floors are hand picked stones from the local beach reminiscent of the sea floor and offering a thorough foot massage. The chandelier in the dining space was created by using a large yoke as a base for circular rims of horse shoes which hold electric candle lights, combining the farming influence as well as the equestrian lifestyle of the Hamptons.

Year Purchased: 2009
About the owner: The owners/builder has lived in the area all of his life and the home is an expression of the passion he has for the beauty and activities this particular area called North Sea offers. The man was driven with an artistic eye to design and create a home with one-of-a-kind distinct features and amenities using all native materials. With Max, his beloved German Shepherd, by his side he was on the building site daily overseeing and/or hands on with every phase and detail of construction.
Why the Owner Chose Southampton:
This is the area Wayne fell in love with as a young man, tending to properties of estate owners with his wife LInda. This Home at Great Hill is the lifelong realization of his "dream house - a home and property like no other. He raised a family here and now they are raising families of their own, continuing the tradition of the passion he and his wife Linda have for this particular area of the Hamptons.
