Anna Maria Island gained rave reviews from the NY Times travel section describing it as 'a 7 mile strip of cushy, white sand tucked in the Gulf of Mexico, where you can dump the car, rent a bike, swim in smooth teal waters, and eat remarkably well.'
Our single story home, Roosterfish, is ideally located on the desirable North end of Anna Maria. Within a beautiful 5 mins walk you have access to Tampa Bay, the Gulf of Mexico beaches, Rod and Reel pier, the Historic city pier, Pine Avenue with quaint shops, cafes, and restaurants including the renowned Sandbar where you can sit and watch incredible sunsets. Or you may choose to rent bikes nearby and stop off at the General store for coffee and sumptuous muffins or at Ginny and Jane E's where you can enjoy the gift shop, the cafe or chat with locals.
Of course you're on vacation, so as the free island trolley stops close to the house you may chose to jump on that and explore the full length of the 7 mile long island.
After extensive world travels we finally chose Anna Maria as the place to be, where we can walk and enjoy one of the world's most beautiful white sand beaches and watch dolphins and manatees at play. Florida island life enhanced by the total lack of high rise resorts and fast food chains!
Our home is only 60 mins from Busch Gardens and 2 hours from the Orlando area attractions of Disney, Seaworld, and Universal Studios.
You will enjoy our stylishly decorated 2 bed, 2 bathroom home. The master has a comfortable King bed, ensuite bathroom and a spacious walk-in closet. The guest bedroom has twin beds, ensuite bathroom and large closets. Plus there are 2 queen sofa beds in the living areas for extra guest accommodation. The home also features a huge open living, dining, and kitchen area that is perfect for family gatherings.
Roosterfish has all new furniture and furnishings, two spacious living areas, and a fully equipped kitchen offering a large refrigerator, range, dishwasher, garbage disposal. and microwave, washer/dryer, quality linens and towels, dining table which seats 6-8 plus a breakfast nook table for four.
For your enjoyment there are 3 HD flat screen TVs with DVD and cable. We also provide high speed Wi-Fi internet connection and a iHome for iPod/iPhones.
As a courtesy we also have beach chairs, an umbrella, and pool/beach toys stored in the garage. Plus there is a driveway where you can park 2 cars.
The house opens onto a large, screened outdoor area with a beautiful, heated pool, and outdoor shower. You will also find a Weber gas grill, a dining area, and comfortable seating/sunbathing chairs. A fabulous spot at any time of day-enjoying morning coffee, grilling out, the Florida sunshine or relaxing and watching the stars at the end of a perfect day.
After all, the north end of Anna Maria Island is a great place to be a kid and not a bad place for a kid who happens to be an adult!

The property is lovely and spacious, and beautifully furnished and decorated. dressing room was a bonus and the bed was extremely comfy. Kitchen area had everything you would need for a quiet night in. Close to both piers, beach and restaurants and the stop for the trolley is just round the corner and has off street parking. Perfect peaceful getaway.Recommended for: People with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with young children, age 55+.

Very nice, spacious home! Plenty of linens, towels, dishes, etc - to accommodate a large group. Very easy layout and nice closet space. We enjoyed the pool area and gas grill for cooking at home. My husband and kids all enjoyed our stay! We really appreciated the beach toys, chairs and skim board (kids spent hours making sand castles and collecting shells!).Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, age 55+.

We had the most amazing time. Home, furnishings and pool simply wonderful! Perfect location... walk to the bay in 2 minutes -- walk to the gulf in a few blocks.We didn't want to leave.The home was in pristine condition - really good beds and linens for a perfect nights sleep.Recommended for: People with disabilities, girls getaway, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, age 55+.

Roosterfish is the perfect home away from home! Equipped with everything my family needed for a fun stay at the beach. We loved the close proximity to the beaches, piers and Pine Avenue-a short walk from everything! The park at the end of the street, the beach toys, and pack n play you provided were all key in keeping our daughter entertained and happy, which makes a good vacation for all! The house is beautifully furnished, stylish yet comfortable. Thank you for a week of wonderful memories! We will be back!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, tourists without a car, sightseeing.
