Have stayed twice at Alpen Haus, once for Xmas with 10 people and in the summer for six weeks with family coming and going. It is in a quiet location close to skiing horse riding, biking and hiking with lots of good restaurants and plenty of activities for all my children and grand children. Our hosts Karen and Phillip went out of their way to make sure all our needs were taken care of. The house was spotless and we used the maid service they recommended. It just feels like homeRecommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

Incredible house. Nice and quiet and short distance to slopes! Immaculate. Fabulous master suite. Kitchen well-equipped. Lots of room for everything. Big garage. We have stayed twice and recommended this house to friends who also rented. Have fun!!! There is also a bus that takes you to the slopes so you don't need a car to go skiing.Recommended for: Families with young children, tourists without a car.

About the owner: I am a Veterinarian and my husband is a businessman in Healthcare, we moved to Summit County two years ago after being part timers for 28 years. We have two teenage boys that love living in the mountains and we are always happy to help get around and recommendations for great things to do and where to ski, fish, bike, hike etc. We live nearby in Summit County and readily available to assist with any issues.
Why the Owner Chose Private Homes:
We used to come for the winters but stayed for the winters and the small town lifestyle with all the great people who make Summit County Home.
We still have a 4 bedroom Condo in Keystone as well but really wanted a single family home.

Literally there are cross country ski and bike trails right outside the home, it is in a quiet setting and very modern and comfortable.
