Romantic Apartment with Great Location
Romantic Apartment with Great Location
My wife and I stayed in Damremont for almost two months in the autumn of 2012. We loved it there and would heartily recommend it to anyone else. I do not want to repeat the accolades accorded by so many other reviewers except to agree with them all. I will try to note some extra benefits. The paramount benefit at this apartment is Paula, the property manager. We were looking at several different locations from afar and Paula was by far the most receptive and helpful in answering our questions. She made the whole renting process very easy. She met us at the door on the first day and gave us a thorough orientation so we felt at home and at ease right away. Throughout our long stay she responded to questions quickly and thoroughly. When we accidentally broke a coffee carafe she had a new one there the next day. She was superb. She is from America and speaks perfect English, which helps a lot in a strange land. If you are interested in maintaining a fitness routine as we were then this apartment is ideally located. There are three small commercial gyms within easy walking distance. We chose to walk about 20 minutes each morning to go to La Cercle de la Forme, which is a large three story gym with outstanding fitness classes, a good weight room and all sorts of other equipment e.g. bicycles, treadmills etc. Highly recommended if you are serious about fitness. If you just want a gentle workout then the three closer small gyms would probably work for you. The local subway line goes south to all sorts of places. It is terrific. But don’t forget that that same line goes north, where you can switch in two stops and catch another line south that goes to different parts of the city in a more convenient manner. Just a small counterintuitive thing that most people would overlook. Another important feature, especially if you are travelling in the off season, is that the apartment has a first class heating system. We were never cold or cool. Just turn the switch and within minutes the place is comfortably warm. We also enjoyed the free telephone calls to Canada. The TV carries a lot of American stations including CNBC and CNN so you can stay in touch. We made heavy use of a store just 50 yards down the street, part of a major chain called Picard. This super clean modern store sells nothing but frozen food for taking home and heating up. They had a much better choice of high quality frozen meals than we encounter in North America. And not very expensive at all.

My week in Montmartre
My week in Montmartre
I was looking for a beautiful, safe place to stay in Montmartre with my neice. This place was perfect! We had no complications. Someone was there on arrival to give us our key and show us our apartment. We each had our own room. The washer came in handy. We had easy walks to Sacre-Coeur, painters square, and great shops. Bus stop was close by to take us to the Louvre and other attractions. We recommend Bus 95. I would definitly use this aprartment again, we truely felt like locals.

We stayed at this lovely property for four nights, en route to the Loire for a month. It was really nice arriving from Canada, knowing we had a "home" to stay in. There was plenty of space for the two of us, and the neighbourhood is wonderful- filled with restaurants, shops, and people. The one downside to this apartment is the bathroom/watercloset situation. The shower and water closet are separate, which is ideal; however, both are terribly small, and the sinks are inadequate. Other than that- a great place to stay.

Brilliant apartment, great service
Brilliant apartment, great service
Having looked at many apartments for our trip to Paris we decided on this apartment due to the location and fantastic service we received from the agent Paula at Frenchy rentals. The apartment is well stocked and in a great location to enjoy the true feeling of the area. Paula was brill from the first contact right until we left even allowing us to stop a little longer till our flight. The apartment is a great size and has everything you could want. It is very secure. The only negative was hearing the neighbours in the morning as the walls appear really thin but this wasnt an issue. The local supermarket is a block away and you can get everything you need with many bars and restraunts in the area.

Our party of 4 adults were comfortably housed for a week in this wondferul apartment. We loved the chandeliers and the well stocked cupboards with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It's in in a great location and has the most comfortable sofa bed I've slept on!

My husband and I spend a wonderful week in Montmartre at this one bedroom, four chandelier, three fireplace apartment. It is quiet, and being on the first floor is easy to access- no climbing five flights of stairs and best of all- no vertical coffin type French elevator to contend with, although there is one for the brave. The neighbourhood is great- filled with bakeries, restaurants, near bus and metro stations. Paula, the property manager is very efficent and has a book filled with good tips on navigating the buses, metro and restaurants in the area. The apartment is well equipped and has a very workable kitchen, although why bother cooking with all the good restauarnts and delis a block away? I would certainly rent it again and recommend it to friends. Roberta Rich Vancouver, Canada

10 Days in Paris
10 Days in Paris
This apartment was great for the three of us. There was plenty of space and it's hard to beat the location. Ten minute walk to three different metro stations (two lines) and very close to Rue Lepic (from the movie Amelie). There are several great shops and restaurants within a 10 minute walk. We would recommend this apartment to anyone who wants to really experience Paris as a "local". The amenities were very reasonable and the apartment was clean. The staff at Frenchy Rentals were very easy to deal with and quite helpful. We would not hesitate to book the apartment again the next time we come to Paris.
