  I'd like to use this forum to formally thank Jessie for an amazing vacation rental! The apartment was beautiful, clean, and centrally located. All the best shopping and restaurants are minutes away; honestly couldn't have asked for better! Ask yourself, would you rather stay in a standard, boring hotel or enjoy one of the classic, historical, canal side monuments we all admire. I highly recommend this amazing apartment to other travelers! Thanks again Jessie! Bradley

  Our family of 6 stayed a few days in this perfectly located flat back in July (sorry for the delay in submitting the review!). First thing to say is that you couldn't find a better location in Amsterdam. Right on the first ring canal and a pleasant walk in any direction will be a delight. We rented our own little boat from a company called Boaty and in our cruise around Amsterdam, stopped in the canal outside our flat and ran inside for snacks and a toilet break! There are great cafe's and restaurants all around this area. We thought the flat was quite luxurious and also very stylish with art on the walls and modern touches everywhere. This place is huge for Amsterdam, so we felt like we were a very rich Dutch family . . for a few days! Highly recommended!!

  We stayed at the rental property in the heart of Amsterdam for four nights in August en route from Africa to our home in Canada. The accommodations were awesome and we couldn't ask for a better central location. We loved the city and proximity to shopping, restaurants and major tourist attractions. We were two couples and each had our own separate bedrooms and showers. The main living area was huge and very comfortable and had all the amenities you could ever need. If you are planning a trip to Amsterdam, check this place out..!

  The apartment was clean and well maintained. It was located near tourist attractions and it was easy to get transportation to other local tourist spots. The amenities in the apartment were excellent. Our stay was overall very pleasant.Great place to come back to after a long day of sightseeing. Thanks to Jessie and Seb.

  I stayed in this fantastic villa with 4 of my friends and upon arrival my initial thought was that the property was even better than advertised.We found the property to be clean,furnished to a high quality and in general stunning in every aspect! it was also in a ideal location and was generally close to everywhere we wanted to go. Jessie was also fantastic to deal with & I found her to be warm, reliable & very accommodating. We enjoyed our stay so much that we were rather sad to leave on the final day!! for me this is the best place to stay in Amsterdam & I am really looking forward to staying again.. This property exceeded my expectations & i would recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious place to stay without the restrictions of a hotel...

  THe apartment was beautiful and stylish with highly functional outdoor space that was quiet though in the heart of the city. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and found the location was close to most things and close to tram lines that could take us anywhere. It is a great space to relax and spend time at the end of the day. We would recommend it to anyone. Just a side note, the bedrooms downstairs share a WC, but have their own separate showers. Not a problem, just not what we were expecting. there is a second WC on the first floor. All in all we loved it. much much better experience than our previous Amsterdam stay where we were in a hotel.

  I stayed at this wonderful accomodation with my 2 kids in the centre of Amsterdam. It was not only clean, kids proof and very comfortable, it was also the perfect location in Amsterdam. Walking distance to all you want to see! I do advise people, with or without childeren, who like comfort and a modern adjustment, to stay in this accomodation.

  This was our 12th visit to Amsterdam, staying in apartments, hotels, houseboats and castles and I have to say this was the most disappointing stay we have ever encountered or endured. After reading the descrtion and reviews, we were more than excited to stay here. Communication with Jessie was very straightforward and easy until we actually arrived at the unit and started having problems. It was at this time that communication got sparse to say the least when I felt she should have contacted me direct regarding our concerns. For the record I don't think anone staying here in the future will have to endure all that we did as we picked the 10 day period where the building was being renovated. This really upset me as I had asked her back in January when I was looking for a place about one of the pictures she sent me showing the building with a "For Sale" sign on the front which she assured me was an old picture from when they purchased the property some two years ago. Unfortunately for us this was not true as the entire entry hall as well as the apartment directly above ours was being remodeled during our stay from about 7:30 in the morning until about 10:00 at night making the place virtually uninhabitable. Like I said though, it appears as almost everything was finished the night before we departed. FYI: The apartment is on the middle level with an apartment in the same hallway, a business down below and the aforementioned apartment above. There is NO canal view which is no big deal for us and the garden view from the living room is nice if not a bit noisy from the neighbors. The bathroom as you enter has a toilet and sink. The kitchen appliances are very nice but while there is a plate warmer, there is NO microwave. The automatic fireplace worked for the first night and then would not ignite after that. I contacted Jessie at least 5 times regarding this issue but nothing was ever done. If you have children (we don't) WATCH OUT for the right side living room windows (as you face out) because it is a 10 foot drop to the patio below!!! The office downstairs is a complete waste of space; the smaller bedroom has a bathroom with a sink and rain shower but no toilet. The handle for the shower came off in my hand when I turned it on. The next bathroom has a toilet and sink but the sink does not work so you have to go into the master bathroom to wash your hands. The master bedroom bed is uncomfortable and the left side vanity sink leaks underneath.

  Owner response: It is a pity this guest responds so harsh. Our house is very neat and finished completely since april 2011 already. As well as our neighbors home's . (which are 4 apartments in the same building) After 2 days the guest was there my neigbor started to do some paintwork on a cabinet in the main-hallway. Unfortunately I was not notified about this, so I could not notify the guest in time. It was a small job. There was no-one renovating a home above the house, all houses are finished since 2011 now. But, the painter told me he painted a cabinet in the hallway above too, so I guess this was it. In every house sometimes a small thing needs to be done or fixed. That is normal and this was short and not even in my own house itself but just with neigbors. As for the heater: it is a pity guest does not tell you that there was a huge storm in Amsterdam in which there was so much thunder which hit the buildings nearby so the system broke down, and I mailed them clearly about it that the mechanic for this is on holiday now because it is July and all constructors are having holiday then. We have a toilet downstairs, but it is separate from the bathrooms, because we think that is cleaner. About the leaking sink: I hear this for the first time and will send someone to check it as well as to fix the tap in the toilet downstairs. Guest did not tell me this while he was there. Our steam-oven has a Micro-wave function and works almost the same. After all this a a bit dis-appointing to read because I returned a day of rent to compensate for the noise of the painter, with which the guest was very happy.

  Despite how cold it was in Amsterdam, Jessie and Seb's hospitality could not have been warmer. When we arrived at the apartment everything was perfect. It was furnished to a very high quality and clean throughout. Location wise, the apartment is quite central, 5-10 minute walk from central station and almost everything else. I would highly recommend staying here for anyone visiting Amsterdam.

  Our first stay at this villa and we were very impressed! The location is great, right in the heart of Amsterdam, with all tourist attractions and a fantastic selection of restaurants within walking distance. Luckily for us, the villa was a quiet piece of heaven in the middle of hectic Amsterdam. We enjoyed the peacefulness of the house...very quiet without any street noise. The villa is completely new, very comfortable and luxurious, with everything (and more) you need. We will book this villa again!
