The bathroom with shower is well supplied with plush towels, soaps, shampoo, conditioners, hairdryer, and starter supply of paper products. Both the double bed in the bedroom, and queen bed in the loft have top quality mattresses, sheets, pillows, and beautiful quilts in the summer and warm down comforters in the winter. Everything to make you sleep like a baby. Enjoy central A/C, ceiling fans, or the cool mountain breezes in the heat of summer. In the winter cozy up to the gas log fireplace, relax on the comfortable sofa and upholstered rocking chairs and watch your favorite shows on the flat screen TV. This lovely and well-maintained cabin met all our expectations and more. Everything that we could possibly need was provided. The listing showed various amenities which were certainly inviting, but the actual experience was far beyond what we had anticipated. The owners have gone out of their way to enhance the rooms with many delightful touches. We had been traveling for over a month, and this was our last stop on our way home, so we were tired, but the quiet country atmosphere and the pristine mountain air was rejuvenating. We relaxed on the comfortable sofa, ate at the charming kitchen table and enjoyed the peaceful country sounds of birds and farm animals. I took some great photos of the cattle grazing in a neighbor's field behind the cabin. From the front, we could see for miles and enjoyed the rich green rolling hills before us and the wonderful mountain views in the background. My husband and I will definitely return and we highly recommend this get-away destination for anyone wishing to enjoy the peace and quiet of country living. We have been in this area before and there are many points of interest within a few miles for those who seek adventure outdoors as well as the offerings of the city only 10 minutes away. We particularly enjoy the Biltmore Estate and taking the trolley tour of Asheville. The owners are wonderful and most helpful...always ready to answer questions and provide useful information about touring the area. We absolutely loved our stay here at Tranquility Knoll.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We stayed at Tranquility Knoll with our 2 young children (5&1). The view was incredible. The cabin and property were spotless. The cabin has everything you need and is decorated perfectly down to the smallest detail. The pictures cannot capture how amazing this place is. It is very quiet and yet is only a few minutes from shopping etc. The owners have thought of everything. They even included a savings card for the local grocery store on the keychain. I didn't realize you can have a romantic vacation and bring the children. We had a wonderful time and will be back. The owner also gave us a tour of their other cabin Country Haven which is equally beautiful if you need a larger place.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This is a really cute & cozy log cabin in a peaceful location. We have been in other log cabins but this was well maintained with lots of charm & character. Excellent valley views and close location to downtown make it a good choice for a getaway.Recommended for: Romantic getaway.

Our first stay at Tranquility Knoll was so wonderful that we stayed there again during our last visit to Asheville this past December. We've now enjoyed two different seasons (fall and winter) in the cabin and each had its own charm. As usual, the cabin was cozy and impeccably maintained. My preference for staying at the cabin versus a hotel is best described as follows - there's nothing particularly special about returning to a hotel room at the end of a vacation day, yet I always look forward to returning to the cabin. It's an extension of the vacation experience and not simply a place to shower and sleep. Other points to consider: - Owner is friendly and helpful. - Web pictures of the cabin, especially the outdoor surroundings, don't do it justice. It's even nicer in person. - Cabin is only 15-20 minutes from downtown Asheville and only 5-6 minutes from a supermarket. - Easy drive to the cabin.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

We arrived in the dark of night and still could see the beauty of the landscape with the cutest mountain cabin well lit atop the knoll. The previous descriptions accurately portray the beauty of the views. You'll want to catch the colors of the sunrise against the mountains. As well as the morning movements of the Brahma Bulls. Tranquility Knoll is authentically decorated with touches of convenience. The loft is the place to sleep with it's incredible views. The kitchen provides you with the necessary cooking supplies should you desire to cook a meal or two. There's a nice flat screen TV with great reception. We didn't use their Wi-fi as we had our own with no problems. Asheville is around 12-15 minutes away depending on your destination. There's a great grocery store, Ingles, less than 10 minutes away. We would definitely return to the tranquility provided by this picturesque mountain cabin!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

My husband and I stayed at Tranquility for our visit to Asheville and we could not have been happier! We visit Asheville once a year and usually pick a new place to stay each time we go. Tranquility is one spot we will absolutely be enjoying many more times, we hope! The cabin is so cozy, so warm, and has everything you'll need for a quiet weekend away. The view from the loft is amazing!! We were awake with the sun each morning to enjoy the incredible sunrise, and loved how the rooster, cows, donkeys and birds greeted us so cheerfully! Linde was so helpful when we had a couple of questions come up on our first day and she even stopped by to say hello in person - it was such a pleasure! We enjoyed a lot of time at the Biltmore and surrounding areas and we were always so happy to return "home" to such a lovely place. We took in the beautiful scenery around the cabin every day and tried to soak it all in before it was time to leave. The cabin itself is in a great location, so close to grocery stores and only 15 minutes to Asheville and the Biltmore. As much as we would love to keep this cabin as our own secret little treasure, we also want others to enjoy it as much as we did!!! Thanks so much for sharing your special cabin, Linde and Carl!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.

My husband and I stayed at Tranquility Knoll in late October- early November 2012. The cabin was very clean and well-appointed. On cold days we cuddled up in front of the gas fireplace and on warm days we explored the many hiking trails around Asheville. This cabin manages to feel like it's in the country, but we were less than 15 minutes to downtown Asheville. The beds were extremely comfy and we found everything we needed to prepare meals when we didn't feel like going out. The washer and dryer were handy! Overall, we had a great time and I would recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a peaceful vacation.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Wow! Words really can not express how beautiful this place is. The view from the cabin is just breath taking! Its a little taste of heaven if thats possible. The cabin is charming and decorated so quaint. Very clean and well maintained. Leicester is a wonderful community. Its is a great location. Close to many scenic drives and wonderful towns to visit. One scenic drive we went on that was just breathtaking was the drive to Hot Springs. We used our GPS and it took us the back roads, up a very winding road through two small communities that were beautiful, Trust was the first one we came to and Lucky was the second. A scenic drive you don't want to miss. Hot Spings is not that great but the drive is well worth it if you go through these two communities. Two towns that are well worth visiting are Maggie Valley and Waynesville. Breakfast is a must at Joey's Pancake House in Maggie Valley. Open until noon everyday except Thursdays. The Mast General Store located in downtown historic Waynesville is a wonderful experience as well as is Nick and Nates Pizza parlor. There are lots of beautiful waterfalls to visit. The ones that I would recommend are all located close to one another in Brevard. Hooker falls, Triple falls and High falls are located in the same location. Hooker falls is easy to walk to however Triple falls and High falls are lots of uphill walking to get to but well worth it. Another fall that is not too far from those three is Looking glass falls which can be viewed from the road side. Also along this road are wonderful picnic areas. I could go on and on but will stop and let you be the judge for yourselfs. Truly a wonderful place to visit!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We had a wonderful stay! The photos did not do it justice. The cabin had everything that we could ever think of needing, the view was wonderful, the cabin was very quiet and very clean. The decorations were so cute and made it really feel like we were at home. I would recommend this property to everyone. We stayed here and traveled into Asheville for dinner and to go to the Biltmore. I wish we would have had more time to just relax at the cabin and have a fire out back.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
