Welcome to Cedar Key, where you'll experience what it really feels like to be away from it all. Island Palms Cottage is a pristine, yet relaxed white clapboard cottage, complete with covered porches and ceiling fans, that instantly puts you in a 'vacation state of mind'. There's lots of ways to spend your days in Cedar Key, fishing, kayaking, biking, birdwatching, boating....or if necessary, at the cottage on your laptop! In the evenings look forward to quiet dinners or drinks on the porch as you enjoy the sun going down over Cedar Key.
Although the house is very private and peaceful, you are but a short walk to everything from this in-town get-away. Friendly restaurants, art galleries, music, magnificent coastal views and sunsets await you around every corner.
We completely restored our southern cottage when we bought it in 2006. We added a spacious gourmet kitchen and luxurious master bedroom and bath creating, what everyone calls, 'a jewel' to be enjoyed by those who love the charm of laid back island living but with all the amenities that make your time in Cedar Key carefree and memorable.

Great rental, wonderful location, house has everything you need, walk to town, pier and restaurants. Enjoyed our time there, we fished, kayaked and relaxed. Highly recommend Tony's chowder!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+.

About the owner: I own my own business so it's pretty much a 24/7 job. Cedar Key is my escape. I am always astonished how quickly I'm able to wind down and relax upon my arrival. A walk down main street and over to the pier is my morning ritual. We call our cottage Island Palms because the gentle sway of the palms reminds us how lucky we are to be here. As much as I love Cedar Key, I'm not able to get there as often as I would like, so I decided to share our white clapboard cottage with others who who want to experience the magic of this lovely island.
