This gulf-front, ocean-view condo is elegantly appointed waiting for you to arrive for your perfect beach vacation. The master suite has a king bed, large vanity in bath with shower in the tub. The master is located on the opposite side of the condo from the other two bedrooms for privacy during your visit. There is access to the balcony from the master so you can open the large sliding doors and hear the surf all night. There are flat screen televisions in each of the three bedrooms as well as the living room, which also has a DVD player. One bedroom on the opposite side of the condo has two queen-sized beds and the third bedroom has a queen bed. The living room has full wall of glass to the balcony for a spectacular view of the ocean. The living room has a sofa bed (queen size), Rocker-Recliner, large overstuffed chair with hassock, and another cushioned chair, a credenza with television, VCR, and games. The dining area will seat six-eight comfortably. The kitchen is fully equipped with garbage disposal, ice maker, dishwasher, several sets of dishes and glasses for any occasion, with every small appliance one would need (coffee pot, slow cooker, toaster, etc.). There is a washer and dryer for your convenience. Garbage can be deposited in the slot on the same floor as the condo, so no need to haul garbage down the elevator to the main floor. Enjoy a drink on the balcony as the sun sets on the sea or have coffee in the morning and watch the sun rise on the glistening gulf. The view is unbelievable!!!

From the moment I contacted Barbara & Jimmie, I knew from their commitment to service, this was going to be a good trip - I was right! You could not ask for more from a condo. This one has it all. The condo is located on 5th floor over the pool area. Perfect! Great view, but high enough to avoid pool noise. The deck is nice and deep with lots of outside tables and chairs to accommodate everyone. The ocean view is spectacular. The unit is bright and well stocked with kitchen wares, bath towels, etc. There is a huge facility with an indoor/heated pool, hot tub, exercise room and sauna - perfect for winter beach trips. (There is also a tennis court.) Windward Pointe is not a huge condo complex, but these amenities will trick you into thinking you are on a luxury vacation at a 'high-dollar' resort. I highly recommend this unit to anyone looking for a place to rest, relax and enjoy a wonderful, carefree beach vacation. The condo was very comfortable and spacious. The balcony was large. We particularly liked how the floorplan has the master on one side, and the other two bedrooms on the other side. Although there were only 4 of us, it would be perfect for grandparents, parents, and grandchildren. Another thing we liked was how there were no condos backed up to this one - meaning we were able to go out on the back landing (fronting the street) and watch the New Year's Eve fireworks from The Wharf. We found the condo to be convenient to shopping, restaurants, and museums/historical sites. The Wharf was close for an afternoon movie too! My husband has already suggested we go back next year. :) Lastly, the owners were very good to work with. I normally don't rent from anyone who doesn't accept credit cards, but in this one case I did and had absolutely no problems. They were very conscientious. Thanks so much for allowing us the use of your condo!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.

The Little League Global World Series is what brought us to Gulf Shores/Orange Beach this summer. I searched and searched for a condo that was willing to allow Monday to Monday stay. No one was willing except for Barbara & Jimmie. I truely appreciate them both for working with our baseball schedule. They were very easy to work with. Besides the owners for being awesome, the condo was great. It served us well. We had 6 people staying with us and had plenty enough room. We mostly cooked but they had resturants very close. If we ever need a big condo again, we will def call on this one...Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, girls getaway, families with young children.

Thanks for the use of your beach home! We had a great time on our vacation! There were 5 adults and 1 child in our group and we had plenty of room. The condo was very neat and clean and had lots of extras that most condos don't include. The view from the balcony was gorgeous both day and night. We spotted dolphins playing several of the days. Since the condo is located on the 5th floor it was very easy to take the stairs instead of waiting on the elevator. It is located in a great area - there are quite a few very good restaurants in walking distance and lots of grocery stores nearby. The owners are great to work with which makes for an enjoyable vacation with no drama. We will definitely plan to a return trip! We stayed at the condo for a full week and had a great time. We have three children and there was plenty of space for everyone. I loved that the master bedroom was on the opposite side of the condo and out of all the condos I have stayed at, this condo by far had the most spacious kitchen. There are also nice new flat screen TVs in each bedroom (which the kids loved) and a huge balcony that we were able to sit at and eat breakfast and lunch. There are several grocery stores within a mile of the condo which is really convenient. Overall this was probably the best beach vacation our family has ever had....we will definitely plan on coming back :)Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, girls getaway, families with young children.

All prices are subject to change at the discretion of the owners. Most quotes are below the stated prices on the VRBO web site, based on availability, time of year, and length of stay.
$250 Deposit to hold your reservation, refunded within 10-14 days of vacancy with no loss or damage to property, 3 keys return to lock box, 2 parking passes returned to kitchen, and all items of the lease are completed. Half (1/2) of the rent is due 60 days from occupancy and 1/2 due 30 days from date of occupancy. Total refund for forced evacuation due to hurricane.

About the owner: We are two sisters and our husbands who purchased this condo in early 2011. Our families enjoy going down to the beach for weekends but most of the year it is available for rent. We live in Jackson, Mississippi and Atlanta, Georgia, and offer our southern hospitality to you.
Why the Owner Chose Windward Pointe:
We love the pristine Alabama beach, hardly touched the by oil spill and seldom bothered by hurricanes. The weather is gloriously warm in the winter and sunny during the summer.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
Nicely appointed with nice sheets and towels. Large balcony with 2 tables (one with cushions), 2 seat chair, coffee table and lounge. There are so many restaurants and unique shops in the area. There are all types of entertainment for your enjoyment and who doesn't love sitting on the beach or on the balcony enjoying a book, or a card game, or just a drink with friends and family, watching the tide come in. Adventure Island is witin walking distance, about 2 blocks west of our condo
