The apartment has a private, unshared entrance from the street and is set back from the street on the ground floor. Several excellent restaurants are nearby, as are stores where everyday provisions for cooking at home can be purchased.
The apartment itself is very quiet, though it is just a few blocks away from the energy of Reykjavik culture and nightlife.
The kitchen was renovated in 2005/2006 with a new dishwasher, regrigerator, cooking range, and expanded counter and cabinet spaces.
