Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 2003
I have been an outfitter for 25 years and have been in the Estes area for 30 years. This is my "Jeremiah Johnson" dream cabin that needs to be shared. I offer summer horseback rides, fall hunting, and winter snowcat tours as well as back country snowshoe/skiing activities from this property.
Why the Owner Chose Estes Park
This is a one in a million piece of property right outside of Estes and totally off the grid. It is only an hour and 20 minutes from Denver International Airport.
The Unique Benefits of this House
While close to town, I can easily go a week without seeing anyone else. Sitting on the deck in the morning with a good cup of coffee and no sound at all except the wildlife is a soul changing experience.
Some days are active with every conceivable outdoor winter activity right on property, but others are curl up with a book and watch the snow fall.

What a great place to unwind and relax. I drove in from Denver with my family (a lovely scenic drive) because we just wanted to get away and hang out. We were pleasantly surprised by this house, So much to see both in and out. Lots of history. The views are incredible. The peace and quiet amazing. The sound system in the house was great. Listening to music in this setting was just incredible. The snow cat ride up was a fun adventure. We couldn't wipe the smiles off our faces the whole weekend. We will definitely book this place again in the summer...I can only imagine what it will be like.
