We had 3 Couples and 9 GIRLS stay in this home for our ski vacation. We try to come to South Fork every year and usually stay in hotel rooms. It was so nice for all of us to stay in this home with each of us taking turns cooking and cleaning and having time to enjoy the place. We were not over crowed even though there were so many girls. It was comfortable & clean. Two of the showers have a very comical doors, my husband had an interesting time getting in and out however all four bathrooms are very spacious and nice and it definitely wasn’t something that would cause a bad day. We saw deer everyday! I can just imagine how great it would be in the summer. It had a great deck with plenty of room for all of us to eat outside. We are definitely coming back next year!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, girls getaway, families with young children.

We used the cabin for a family ski vacation to bring in the new year (we used every bed). We found the cabin to be very clean and well furnished. Plenty of towels, linens, extra quilts and cookware. The kitchen and bathroom remodels are top quality and there is plenty of room in the cabin to relax after a long day of play. Several living areas within main space allow for groups to separate and do their own thing. There is a "entry/mud room" type area as you enter cabin which makes it really nice to unload gear and clothing and not scatter it all over cabin. The kids loved the hot tub. Property manager is local and very accommodating. Deer and turkey in the yard every day. Street and drive snowplowed. Definitely would recommend this property. I (we'll) be back!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children.

The listing was accurate in its description and appears as in the photos. The property was not particularly clean and the agent stated that this was due to some recent remodeling. All of the bathrooms had been remodeled and one had a leak which resulted in not being able to use the shower in that bathroom. There were dirty and smelly dishes left in the dishwasher and one of the bedrooms had not had the linen changed. The kitchen was excellent except for the ice maker in the fridge which didn't work. The owner was very cooperative and had a refund check to me the day after we left to reimburse for having to fill the propane tank on the grill and to make up for the loss of the bathroom and dirrty conditions. If the place had better cleaning services and had the problems resolved the review would be good to excellent. A larger BBQ grill would be more appropriate for having larger groups staying here.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children.
Owner response: You can't make everyone happy and it is amazing how we went out of our way on a customer service level to try with this set of clients. People are really enjoying the new updates to the kitchen and 4 bathrooms.

My biggest problem was the lack of lighting. There was a huge beautiful dinning room table with one track light/spot light over one end, and two other sets of track lights in the living room. Try putting some lamps around the living room, it would be more cozy! The deer were right outside the door and not scared of us or our kids, they were worth the trip. Beau was great in helping us solve a couple of problems and even came out to the cabin to make sure we had it all worked out.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2
