What a lovely place and my comment is way overdue, Luxury Living. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home with me and my friends. What a wonderful, memorable time we had. Your home is just beautiful. The beds were so comfy. The kitchen was a wonderful place to cook and spend time together. The dining area was lovely too. There was certainly plenty of room for 4 women and all of our things. We loved Savannah and the accommodations were perfect - within walking distance of everything. We would love to come and stay again. Your home really helped to make our trip special.

This property was exactly as described! Three adult women recently spent a week in this beautiful, historic home. We had a wonderful time staying here; the house has clearly been restored with lots of loving care. It allowed for all three to have their own beds, with plenty of other space to enjoy including the big porch. . The suite was very clean and with good linens. There are the antique shops and and a lot of restaurants. Here is the essence of the South, accepting of others and honest with its history, many cultures and comfortable in its own skin. The owners could not have been more accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thanks for sharing this house with others.

Great location & Beautiful Suite in Savannah

This was a ladies vacation for four women. This is a charming house in a great location! We were within walking distance of all the sightseeings and restaurants in historic Savannah. We came to Savannah for my brother's wedding(on the beach at Tybee island) and wanted to experience the true Savannah lifestyle. Your accomodations were wonderful and filled our needs perfectly. The street where it is located is beautiful and walkable to many squares and to River St. We enjoyed our stay and had a difficult time saying goodbye to Savannah and all her charm.

Great respite from the crowds

We loved the location! Step away from everything, but you would never know it! Such a quiet,beautiful location on Jones. Parking was quite simple even during St. Patty's. The property was extremely clean and well maintained. This will be our home away from home anytime we are in Savannah. Windows open!!! Great for anyone except those with young children.

We had a wonderful time walking between the beautiful squares. The location here is great with a walking distance of all of the sites. Enjoyed the Mercer House tour. Be sure to have lunch next door - at Wilkes House. We love the accommodations here!

We very much enjoyed our stay in Madison suite. It is a delightful suite in a beautiful building in a best part of town. The suite is beautifully appointed, fully equipped and has a great view! It is truly a home away from home. We would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it to others!

We had a wonderful "girl get-a-way" in Savannah and this property was the perfect location to have as a home base. We could easily walk to everything. We never moved our car. The apartment was large and very clean. We spent many evenings drinking wine and talking on the lovely porch. We can't wait to come back again next year.

We stayed at this beautiful home away from home June 14-21, 2008. Six of us girls who went to school in Michigan over 40 years ago met here from Michigan. Tennessee & Nevada. We left you with a heavy heart - but will be back. We wish anyone who stays here much happiness & laughter! Don't forget to eat next door!!

I have meant to drop you a note for months and couldn’t let it go until I told you how much we enjoyed the Madison Suite last October. We had a “girl’s trip” to Savannah and decided that we really wanted to stay in a place that truly felt like “old” Savannah instead of a hotel or the beach. The Madison Suite did not disappoint! We loved everything beginning with opening the beautiful front door to the house! It was easy to drive when we needed to and the location on Jones Street gave us so many options to walk different routes through the Historic District. We walked down to the waterfront several times to eat lunch and dinner (at Vic’s on the River---wonderful), went on a ghost tour starting at the Clary’s Cafe where we met a lovely couple staying at the Mansion on Forsyth Park. After the ghost tour, we joined them in the lounge at the Mansion, which was beautiful and full of interesting people, for a night cap. And, of course, staying next to Mrs. Wilkes was so much fun when we sat on the porch in the morning and talked to the ladies who cook that delicious Southern food. Yes—we did eat there for lunch and loved it. In summary, this location was perfect for touring any area of the Historic District. I hope you know what a gem you have in this property.

Great charm but a few things you should know

This is a very nice place to stay because it is on one of the most beautiful streets in Savannah and his centrally located although it is a decent walk to river street. The apartment offers lots of historic charm and bedrooms are quite large but there are some down sides. Bathrooms, not really shown in pictures are tiny. Showers badly need updating as they are very narrow. Not enjoyable in this romantic setting. All 3 beds and bedding in the apt. look beautiful but mattresses are hard as a rock and the beds squeaks so bad you will easily awaken anyone next to you. The outdoor private porch/balcony is nice to have but you are right next door to the Wilkes house, famous for fried chicken and Southern cooking. You will smell that frying throughout the day even inside the apartment. When the Wilkes home is open they turn on their a/c unit which is so loud you can not here yourself think. At 10:45 weekdays a line forms at Wilkes house so you won't be able to sleep late in front bedroom and when you leave the apt. you are greeted by a line full of steering people. We were going to eat at the Wilkes house until I saw a little of went on in the kitchen. You can see the kitchen sink from the porch. The house had charm and made you feel like you were part of Savannah history but these few negative items are not mentioned in the ad and renters need to be aware of.
