This is a unique Captains Quarters villa with "one-of-a-kind" open spaces overlooking the intercoastal waterway and beautiful lights of Shelter Cove Harbor.
A Special Feature in addition to the stay is easy access to the beaches in Palmetto Dunes. Our guests are provided a beachfront parking pass in Palmetto Dunes during their stay. This is made possible by our ownership of beachfront property. This is especially vauluable in "high season".
260 Captains Quarters has lovely travertine stone in the entry which transtitions into hardwood floors den and bedroom spaces. This is a stylish getaway crafted with adult couples in mind.
This 1BR villa that has TWO BALCONIES from which to take in the views of Shelter Cove. Both the den and the MBR balconies overlook the waterway from the harbor. In the summer, this is FRONT SEATING for fireworks!!!
This is a very spacious, 1200 sq ft villa. Because of the villa's "fourth floor" elevation and the "large open windows", guests have dynamic views to watch boats entering and exiting the harbor. The seasons also bring interesting sea creatures and waterbirds. Sea otters and porpoises can marvel and soothe those that watch. Whether on the balcony or relaxing in reclining chairs, one feels awed bye nature. The night lights of the harbor create intimate charm as well.
Its decor is upscale and soothing for those wanting a quiet getaway while visiting Hilton Head Island. The kitchen table is bar hieght and definitely provides elevation to enjoy the views while eating.
Captains Quarters is a wonderful complex. Both pool and jacuzzi are a short walk down the steps or elevator. Many guests prefer the CALM of this complex to retreat from the busier crowds after beaching is over. Security gates assist in managing the parking and use of the facilities. Feelings of quiet and seclusion are part of the experience.
During the Summer, when you're ready, call the Palmetto Dunes Shuttle Buggy for free personalized service to and from the beach in Palmetto Dunes. The ten passenger van (with plenty of room for golf clubs, tennis racquets, as well as coolers or shopping bags- depending on your destination)offers personalized service when you call ahead.
Another preferred travel mode is biking in the lush vegetation of Shelter Cove which meanders into the paths of Palmetto Dunes and most locations on the Island. Early or late night walks around the paths of the harbour are great ways to start or end the day.
Shelter Cove Harbour contains live-entertainment at several eateries starting in the Spring. Musical concerts played from a small pavilion and fireworks off your balcony each Tuesday night in the summer are part of the package.
The MASTER bedroom contains a KING bed. The Master Bath contains a walk-in shower, recently remodeled in travertine and seamless glass. The bedroom has a private balcony with sitting area.
Everything about the villa is large and spacious. Again, the bedding,furnishings and decor are best suited for adults.

Golfers and Partners in many joys of life, we started our visits to Hilton Head in the 1970's.
Our family has enjoyed the beaches. We've also captained a boat from the Shelter Cove Harbor for a few years, though this is no longer.
Hilton Head is our place to retreat and to play. While we own oceanfront properties as well, this is "our favorite".

The description of the condo in the listing cannot reflect all of the beauty of this place. In all of our travels we have never stayed in a more well furnished and well maintained condo. It is our favorite "home away from home". We have recommended this condo to all of our friends and family. We enjoy the view of the harbor and the afternoons sitting on the balcony taking it all in. It is so nice to have the convenience of the restaurants and shops bordering the Marina that are all within walking distance of the condo. We will certainly return to the Island and this condo.

On this first trip ever to Hilton Head Island, we decided to spend the first week at an ocean front 4 Diamond Hotel and, for the second week, move in a condo where we could cook some of the meals. Since we travelled in November, we had not made any advance reservation to either locations. Now that we have experienced both, we would definitely recommend this spacious and luxury one bedroom condo ovelooking the Shelter Cove marina and intracoastal for the full two weeks. Make sure you rent bikes for the week. They deliver and pick up and it is very affordable. There is plenty to do at Hilton Head and it was always great returning to our haven at Shelter Cove.

Enjoyed a wonderul 10 day stay in April. The condo was extremely clean, well appointed, high end furnishings, appliances and the view!!! The condo itself is huge and feels like a home. Shelter Cove is a great place to stay in HHI. Close to everything. Captains Quarters is well cared for and very quiet. Thanks for a great stay.

The spacious condo was even more beautfiul than anticipated as it's hard to capture it's charm in photos! It is extremely clean and so well decorated. The kitchen has state-of-the art applicances ( including the washer & dryer) with granite counters. It was great having two full bathrooms; they too are quite large and have granite counters. The spa-like master bathroom is very impressive. Within walking distance to shops, this is a magnificent condo. Bikes may be rented and have a covered area to keep them during the stay. Shelter Cove fireworks are on Tuesday during the summer and either of the balconies are great for one of the best seats in the house! The gated parking was a great asset. I, personally, appreicated that the condo is rented to non-pet, non-smoking adults. Sherry is a great owner to work with....thanks for letting us share your Hilton Head gem. Connie & Mike

Excellent value, terrific views, quiet, peaceful! Photos do not do the views justice--wonderful opportunity to watch kayakers, sail boats, and fishing boats coming into the cove during high tide. Quiet and peaceful area of Shelter Cove. Interior of the unit is first class--just beautiful & spotless. Sherry, the owner, was more than accommodating. We would highly recommend this villa for two!
