A gorgeous fully equipped kitchen with stainless appliances and large 10' granite bar area for entertaining that opens into the dining area with a table that seats 12 and bar that seats 4. Kitchen and dining area opens into large great room with fireplace and views of mountains and valley. Inlaid Brazilian cherry wood floors throughout upper level as well as an office and 1/2 bath. This house is unbelievable! The pictures really don't do it justice. The main floor is awesome for gathering with a large group. The dining room table must seat 20 or something. We had a great time hanging is this room, cooking, chilling, sharing stories from the day on the slopes, etc. Then to the hot tub for cocktails and a view of the mountains. I can't say enough about this place. And the owner is a pleasure to deal with. Very friendly and very fair with us. I will definitely be returning next year. My family of four, with 2 younger kids, 5 and 8, stayed at this property over this spring break. It was the best vacation we ‘ve ever had. The owner picked us up from the airport, and gave us a van to move around. When we got to the house, we all said “WOW!” The view from the backyard was magnificent – mountains, mountains! The house was beautiful, large, spacious, bigger than we could even imagine. The location is by far the best – you are right in the middle between Salt Lake City and the slopes. Alta and Snowbird are only 15 minute drive. Other places within half an hour. The weather was amazing, 62 degrees in the city, and 30 in both Alta and Snowbird with great snow base for us to enjoy spring skiing. Have you ever tried snowshoeing? It was an amazing experience for us. The owner had the equipment for all 4 of us. Just a short drive to hiking trails, put them on and enjoy the scenery. An awesome alternative for off the slope activities. Also, grocery is nearby, so saved BIG on family dinners (didn't mind cooking on vacation in that awesome kitchen ;). The owner is great to do business with, very flexible and friendly. Offered wine from his cellar!! In summary, we will definitely be back ?!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We spent some relaxing days in this awesome house. It has all the comfort needed - better than any hotel. The house has everything you need for a great stay. Hot tub, steam shower, home cinema and audio of the finest it’s all there. The furniture is of high standing and there is a nice patio, which allows you to catch the last sun rays of the day. A brand new 4wd is also available. The house is ideally placed, close to the city center, the airport, the gorgeous slopes and great restaurants. We had a great time on the slopes and afterwards over a glass of wine. We highly recommend this house to anyone looking for relaxing holidays in a quality place. Jim was a wonderful host and made our holidays a great US experience.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

What a way to treat your family and/or friends to luxury accomodations near world class skiing!! Have you ever heard of a complimentary wine collection being offered? All sorts of sleeping accomodations and great electronics. I've never come across this before. I recommend renting the vehicle also. I happen to be a fellow Hoosier (someone from Indiana for those that don't know), so I'm glad to see a home state boy put together a great place to stay. Go IU!!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This home exceeded our expectations; it's level of luxury and quality of finish was unmatched to any other VRBO home we looked at. It was big and spacious yet warm and inviting. The kitchen/diningroom had a wonderful mountain view and was a great area for gatherings and entertaining friends/ family . We had 14 in our group and the home always felt very very comfortable , never crowded. We loved the outdoor hot tub and after a long day of skiing couldn't wait to get back to relax. The home had Blue Rays abound and the teenagers loved watching movies on the 82"HDTV surround sound. The studio was a self contained ski lodge with manificent mountain views, beautiful wood trim, 3" granite and great steam shower. We were very happy with our experience and couldn't stop thinking about our wonderful time. We would highly recommend this home to anyone who wants to live in luxury while skiing, and plan to come back every year.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

WOW-Awesome! What a fabulous home...we had the best skiing at Snowbird and Alta. Then to come home to a hot tub and steam showers....does life get any better. We had 4 couples trying to out cook each other in the large kitchen. We all thought...maybe next year, we would bring the kid...or another couple that can cook. The hardwood floors are fantastic. But, we all agreed the best part was after dinner watching an action movie on the big screen!! We love vacations and this home!!!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My and 2 other families (Total 10 people with kids) rented the place through Christmas and New Year. First of all have to say that pictures don't do justice to the house. Looks much better in reality, Great combination of stone and hard wood everywhere! Shiny and super clean. Second, all of us are avid skiers and the location worked awesome in that respect - close to all 4 main Salt Lake Resorts. Second, the kitchen is beautiful and spacious so feeding 3 families at the same time is not a problem at all. All appliances are clean and working! The outside built-in grill ideserves a separate note, those who grill would love it:)! It's heck of a machine built like a full capacity kitchen with granite and stone. Loved the hottub after the day on the slopes followed by the steam room! The house has TVs with DVD players almost everywhere, so the kids had entertainment. The house is also 20 min to Salt Lake downtown, so no skiing days we were hanging out in the childrens' place and nice restaurants. This property is absolutely stunning and a plasure to stay at. We will definately be coming back.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

I spent the summer at this house with my family while remodeling our home. I looked at many condominiums and houses available for rent in the area, but found none to compare with this property. It is very spacious, well furnished and well equipped. Roomy bed/bath suites, great kitchen, 2 laundry rooms, all very modern and comfortable. Perfect location for convenient ski resort access. I highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a quality rental property.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

About the owner: I grew up in Indiana but have always loved the Rocky Mountains. After skiing all over the US,Canada and Europe I chose the Wasatch Range adjacent to Salt Lake City for my retirement home. Just recently semiretired from Emergency medicine. I spend my time between the Straits of Mackinac, Pensacola Beach and Acapulco. Much of my winter is here in Cottonwood Heights. This is the finest home I've ever owned and serves as my anchor residence. I only offer it a few weeks per winter and then in off season.

At 6000 sq ft Powder Mansion is the largest VRBO in the area. The level of interior finish is unsurpassed- from Brazilian Cherry inlaid hardwood on most of the main floor, 16-20' designer granite,marble floors, solid granite countertops, 12' crown molding. Other touches- wineglasses by the dozens for a variety of vintages, huge HDTV w ith high end surround sound systems ( 3 SS, Klipsch, Hsu, Denon speakers and receivers). Our competitors refer to 37' as a large HDTV ( we offer 84 ,42 & 32' HDTV(1080); and 57,50' 720P ). Blue ray players with 4 of the TV's. 500 count linen. Ping pong, road bicycles, 2 winter sleds, snowshoes for a party of 6. Complimentary wine selection. Couples massage at nearby Massage Envy.
