The apartment is very nice, but it is located on the rear of the building and it has no views of New York and it is not sunny.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with young children.

We enjoyed a very nice week in this well appointed apartment. The owner met me in person to provide the keys and explain a few things. He also provided a cell phone number in case I had any questions during the week. Very helpful and informative. The photos show the apartment perfectly. It was clean and equipped with every amenity possible, including a washer, dryer, and even an espresso machine! The apartment is only a short walk to subway and bus stops. It's situated in an excellent and safe neighborhood - easy walking distance to Central Park, museums, shopping, the arts, theatres and restaurants. There's a Whole Foods store close by in Columbus Circle. Nearby activities within walking distance include the Metropolitan Opera, Lincoln Center concerts, Juilliard performances, the Frick Museum (best private art collection in the country), the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Natural History Museum, Carnegie Hall, the Apple store, Tiffany's flagship Fifth Avenue store, many high end designers, and art galleries. We bought a very reasonable unlimited 7 day subway/bus pass that made it extremely easy to access all the major sights throughout Manhattan. It's an easy subway ride to the 911 Memorial and the ferry to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. Newly renovated Grand Central Station is very impressive. Taking an elevator up to view Manhattan from the Empire State Building is also an exhilarating experience. Don't miss the Highline while down in the southwestern part of Manhattan. It's an elevated walking path through gardens that have transformed an old rail line extending 18 blocks. The only concern that may be considered a downside is the construction going on adjacent the apartment building. Two huge new buildings are going up. This situation was fully disclosed to me by the owner prior to my renting the apartment. On weekdays the noise level is high from early morning until late afternoon. These buildings have compromised the view and reduced the available light into the apartment. It's a fabulous apartment in a great neighborhood and if your goal is to get out and see the sights and experience the arts, it's just perfect! I would definitely recommend this apartment to my friends and patrons of the arts.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Everything in the apartment was as advertised, with a very clean, sleek 'New York' feel! I was in NY for a couple of weeks in late March, primarily for events at Lincoln Center, and the location couldn't be better - literally 5 minutes to the Met. Will definitely stay there again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway.

This Apt was exactly as listed. We were delighted with our experience. The apt was clean and modern. We received a warm, personal welcome by the owner who was most helpful in orienting us to the neighborhood. This building is a wonderful location close to Lincoln Center, great restaurants, shopping, subway and Central Park. The doorman and security personnel were friendly and helpful. I would recommend this property to couples or for a couple of friends visitng the city. I was drawn to this property for the extra half bath which was really nice . The gym and lap pool in the basement was another great amenity along with the washer and dryer in the unit. There is construction next door but it was never and issue.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

I just stayed 9 days at this beautiful, updated Upper West Side apartment with beautiful amenities. I enjoyed the fantastic workout facility and especially swimming laps in the pool, relaxing in the hot tub and sauna. The staff are very helpful at the lobby desk and the doorman for directions, help with luggage, groceries. The kitchen has granite countertops, Emeril Cookware, full spice rack, utencils, everything you would need. At the end of the stay, I was able to wash my clothes in the Bosch washer & dryer before leaving for my next destination. Great WiFi connection (easy) and flat screen TV. Watching the snow come into Manhattan on my balcony was fun that first Saturday monring too! (I'm from the South!)-walked in Central Park all day the next weekend, ate at the Amsterdam diners, and especially liked Le Pain Quoterie on 65th and the one on 58th. Movie theatres nearby, Time Warner building Landmarc Bar, great "upscale" spot! Landlord, David, met me at the apartment the first evening to answer questions, show around (answered my text promptly one evening for help)-a great host! Huge closet space too! Beautiful linens and super soft Ralph Lauren towels, extra pillows, blankets..............perfect!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway.
