  Wonderful family friendly home. Very comfortable, supplied well with towels, and cooking tools. Walking distance to the beach. House and pool were clean, could use minor updates. I would stay again at this house without a doubt.

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

  Hello – It’s been a hectic first week back in Ecuador, particularly so with our kids having gotten a little sick, but things have calmed down to the point where I can finally say THANK YOU. It was an amazing week and the accommodations were a big reason for that. The kids enjoyed the pool and beach, and we even rented a boat for a day and picking up the family from the dock was a nice treat. My Spanish in-laws were very impressed with the residence, and it’s only a minor miracle that there are more pics of the kids than there are of the house! So thank you again. We truly appreciate it.

  We stayed in this beautiful home last week and had a great time. In total we were 8, 2 families of 4 (2 x 4year olds and 2 x 6yr olds). It was a busy time but really relaxing. There were great activities and we didn't have time to do them all so will have to return! The beach was great although a little cold for the kids to swim. The pool was perfect- almost too perfect- the kids never wanted to get out! The fireplace was a really nice later night pass time for the adults. Villa Elena was an excellent combination of comfort, location and amenity. I would definitely recommend the house and Captiva to anyone. We had no complaints and no troubles during our stay.

  We had a wonderful time on Captiva Island. The house was wonderful. It was well maintained and the kitchen was stocked with the right amount of kitchen gadgets to make cooking easy. The pool was heated which was an added plus! We rented bikes from Eddy's bike and used them to get around the island for the week. We also bought fresh seafood from Andy's mobile fish market. The crab cakes and grouper were amazing. Thank you for a wonderful week with my family! Beach was beautiful.

  Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The house was in quiet location with easy access to the beach and town of Captiva. We rented bikes from Billy's for the week and used them to get around the island. On Tuesday I rode into town and bought fresh grouper and crabcakes from Andy's mobile fish market. They food was delicious! The house was well maintained and the kitchen had all the needed supplies to make cooking easy. The pool was heated which was a unexpected plus! We would definitely recommend this house.

  “From the minute we stepped in the door of Villa Elena, we felt right at home! The home is decorated beautifully and it is very peaceful. We found the home very clean and it had everything we needed for a week on Captiva Island! The wagon for the beach is such a plus, along with the beach chairs and beach umbrella! Thank you for providing this for us. We did bring along our own fold-up cooler to take drinks and snacks to the beach. The town of Captiva was lovely. We had a few meals in town, and also cooked a few meals at Villa Elena. We grilled shrimp One night on the outdoor gas grill. We enjoyed watching the sun set from The Mucky Duck in Captiva and stayed for dinner that evening. We ate breakfast at a few of the restaurants in town, and also enjoyed the mexican restaurant In Captiva. We rented bikes from Yolo’s Bike Shop in Captiva and we rode every day. We even biked to Ding Darling’s Nature Reserve. We only used our rental car twice during the whole week. It was fun to bike every where. Royal Shell Vacation and Cindy, the owner, was very helpful in making our stay wonderful. Thank you again.

  The last 2 weeks at Villa Elena were wonderful. The house was just perfect for us. The open family room was a big hit as we all tend to hang out together. The screened in porch was fantastic and that extra refrigerator was a must for all our cold drinks. My husband, is a wonderful chef so he really used the kitchen and grill. We had gulf shrimp, yellow snapper, grouper, steaks and much more... Everything worked great. He had to get a little creative with the pans, but he made it work. The wagon and chairs were the best we've ever had at a rental in Captiva....thank you for those. Thanks again for sharing your place with us. If our group size stays the same, we will definitely consider Villa Elena for our 2 week vacation next year
